We have been using Michael and sons for so many of our home needs since we bought our house 20 years ago. They have installed everything from installing our hot water heater to our HVAC system to doing multiple repairs on our plumbing. Recently. We had a pipe burst and they had a technician out first thing in the morning and despite it being a difficult job because of where it was located in our basement he got everything taken care of quickly and very professionally. They are a bit pricier than some others in our area, but the service and commitment to backing up their work is better than any I've seen. We will continue to use them for all types of home services for as long as we live in this area.

Michael & Son does a great job again. My upstairs toilet overflowed and flooded my downstairs area. Darryl was professional and provided quick service. He showed me a few options before charging me. I'm grateful that it's fixed and there's a 30-day warranty on the part. I like that he explained that my original part was plastic and likely eroded over time.

We moved into a new house and have been having an issue with our Carrier mini split heating units. Michael & Sons is listed on the Carrier website as an authorized service provider. The technician arrived outside of the 2-hour time window when I was in the middle of important work meetings. In addition, the technician informed me they don't service my units, even though I had identified the mini splits when setting up the appointment. I wasted a week waiting for this appointment, they didn't show up on time, and can't service the product even though I was told otherwise when calling.

I chose Michael and Sons because of their high Google reviews and we were not at all disappointed! Communication before the appointment was excellent. Kwame, our technician, was professional, kind, knowledgeable, and very thorough. If it weren’t for the two new toilets he installed, you would never even know he was there! Will definitely use Michael and Sons again for any of our plumbing or electrical needs.

Had these guys come out to give me a quote to install an attic fan. When I made the reservation they told me there would be a $70 appointment cost but if we moved forward they would apply it to the service work. Fine. The lady couldn’t give me a quote over the phone but considering my neighbors all paid less than $500 I figured their quote would be in the same neighborhood. When the technicians came out they quoted me $3,200 to install. $2,300 was the cost of the fan which could be pitched for less than $150 at Home Depot. Disappointing.

Declining quality of service. I am a regular client of Michael and Sons. The quality of service has degraded a lot. Recently one person came and checked the electricity and left one of the doors wide opened in my basement, and the water tab running. In addition, in the past 2 weeks I have had "re-scheduling" happen three times. Only one time was for a legitimate reason. Just a warning of what to expect. I am going to start looking for alternatives.

I discovered a bad leak from the condo unit above me that had leaked into my wall and permeated under my laminate flooring. I have never experienced anything like this and Michael & Son came in and talked to my insurance, set up a claim, and got busy mitigating the damage. They made a very stressful situation less painful. Highly recommend them! KM.

The technician arrived on time. He was very professional, courteous and provided an independent easily understandable explanation of service provided, possible future concerns as well as problem resolutions. Also, an overview of all of Michael & Sons services were discussed. Has been a customer for many years; service always high quality.

My experience with this company can only be described as a scam. The supervisor, Mike, recommended a solution that costs $3,500 (which was misleading because he provided two separate estimates after the job was done.) and the techs onsite recommended going against residential housing code to fix the problem. The most expensive solution (which was the only suggestion to stay within building code) did not solve my problem. They came back to simply replace the AFCI breakers which was a fraction of the cost. I have repeatedly called Mike and he refuses to call me back. I call the customer service number to come to some sort of a compromise, and nothing but empty promises. I can only say that Mike and his entire organization are incompetent and due to the lack of response, a fraudulent organization.
