Terrible i went with the company because I bought my aunts house and that’s who she was using so we continued . We’ll this year my oil price per gallon in December was 4.60 a gallon with a tank of 200 it adds up quick. Then I’m February they fill us up it’s 5.10 a gallon..!!!! Almost 1000 dollar bill and the oil lasts 2 months or so who can even afford that. Called around and found it way cheaper through husky and alliance for 3.40 and 3.70 a gallon … called to cancel my account and all they could do was thank me for being a loyal customer and tried keeping me by telling me they could drop the price to 4.00 a gallon like why would I do that if I just told you I could get it way cheaper . Horrible pricing defiantly shop around, was good the first year or 2 and then they gradually increase the price and you can’t afford it
. The house has been a customer for over 20 years loyalty means nothing.Also when I called the other companies they picked up the phone instantly … took an hour to get a hold of anyone with petro and then they had to call me back 2 hours later.

Literally the WORST experience I’ve ever had working with a company. We ran out of oil heat - they promised to refill, and didn’t show up. It was below 20 degrees and when I finally got through to someone (after hours and hours of waiting on hold) the guy was so rude, then “transferred” me, which was his way of simply hanging up on me. There are a lot of choices for home heating. Please choose anyone else.

Petro service techs are always friendly and professional. I am a satisfied customer with over 20 years of having great service.

They are always here to deliver oil before we run out. Thankfully this has been a warm winter

Hoffberger Oil was a great company to work with. I had service with them for 15 years before they sold to Petro. Petro is a nightmare to deal with. Their “service” and billing staffs are rude and aggressive. They give false information about the contract, getting a fixed price before the heating season, delivery dates, billing practices. They never have a delivery truck with the correct size hose to reach the tank and have driven over the garden, planters, garden furniture and landscaping.
None of these problems existed with Hoffberger.
I have tried to change companies but am threatened with huge charges ($400+) if I end the contract and am now informed I will be fined if another company even FILLS the tank. The temperature has been in the teens and twenties for days and I have no heat. They were scheduled to fill the tank Wednesday (3 days ago), did not come nor inform me that they had not.
In spite of middle-of-the-night calls they are unable or unwilling to tell me when the tank will be filled.

UPDATE- Now they run over things on the side of my drive & break them. No notices,no apology, no offer to compensate. Add to this that I called twice and received no response from management.

I had a leak at my boiler and Petro had to come out 3 times to fix it. I appreciate them owning the issue and resolving it on the third trip. 3 trips = not optimal, but they "owned" it and that counts for a lot in my beek.

Mark Londer has helped take care of issues when no one else in Petro would. He is an asset to your company. Thank you.

Setting up my emergency appointment was easy. The first representative was really nice and easy to talk with and she understood my issue. The actual repairman was just as nice and really knew what he was doing and how to fix a furnace. My problem was fixed and I was very pleased with my overall experience. I would recommend Petro Home Services if asked.

I've had an account with Petro for over 10 years. Over a period like that we've certainly had an opportunity to establish a pattern. Petro has consistently taken excellent care of me. The techs have always been cordial and responsive and professional and respond quickly whenever the need arises day or night - no matter the weather. The office staff have always been smart and personal and upbeat every single time I have a need to engage with them. Petro is top notch in my book.

Service is ok but the oil prices are extremely high at $7.00 a gallon.
