No issues since signing up with Petro. The staff have been very helpful and kind every time, unlike other oil companies who tend to come off rude and as if you are a bother when you contact them. Recently made a service call for my home due to hot water boiler beginning to drip excessively. Have a service contract with them with auto delivery. Contacted at 8:30am and they where out same morning at 11:30am even though they gave a timeframe of 12-3. Definitely recommend them hands down.
I entered a budget plan. I was suppose to get their lowest price available but not have to pay more than their cap price. But when I got oil the amount was high. So I called and found out other customers got a lower price but not me because I was a budget plan.... That not only isn't fair but misleading.... I'm not going to continue with them when my year is up.
Petro Home Services has provided exceptionally high quality home heating service. I have been a customer for over 20 years and, because of their Service Department, plan on staying. They have done a few major projects for me, too.
Flooded my basement with oil and had to be told by deep to clean it up dropped some quick dry down and never came back to clean it! Gave me a credit on the spilled oil! No thanks stay off my property
Mechanics often come unprepared for service calls. It took 3 separate appointments to get a sight glass on a boiler replaced and even the third mechanic had to go back out and get the proper parts. 3 separate occasions of missed work luckily they were slow on the third try and were able to go get the parts and come back. It’s worth mentioning that after the first appointment without the right parts I called the day prior to my appointment to check and make sure the repair was entered properly and the mechanic would have the right parts. Unfortunately this did nothing. After speaking to petro about this they offered to discount our service contract for the next year instead of upping the price as they normally do every year. This was great except for the fact that it then took 2 or 3 follow up phone calls to have our bill reflect the discounted amount we were told we would be getting. I think the third and final straw for this being our last year with petro was when they stopped regularly delivering oil every month to the point where I had to take time out of my day yet again to contact them and schedule a delivery. Thankfully I noticed before we ran out. Sadly we went with petro on the recommendations of a few close friends have been greatly disappointed.
Horrible! I tried using them for two years, each time there was a problem. They over charged me by a couple hundred dollars when I signed up, delivered me more oil then I needed, which meant a higher bill. When I called to cancel they basically wouldn't let me and stated we will notify you when we will deliver to your home. So what do they do, deliver me $500 worth of oil at the end of February, I only use oil for heat, which they are aware of. They don't care about their customers, they only care about money. I will never use them again, and I will make sure to tell me friends and neighbors how horrible they are.
