The service is great and the response by the company is very good also. We have a service contract which is very helpful. As an aside, I believe the company can make an effort to make more timely deliveries instead of waiting until the tank nearly bottoms out, so that the bills aren't so excessive when they do come. For seniors living on a budget it does become a bit challenging.

It has been a year since we changed to Petro Oil. We must state the level of courtesy and professionalism is above board and they were immediately attentive to our need for delivery. The process via Customer Service was seamless and answered all our questions and concerns we had not only with the contract but with all pertinent details.
Their technicians are also highly skilled, qualified, friendly and professional.
We could not be happier to have found them after a horrible experience with a young lady in Customer Service at another oil company that starts with the first letter of the Alphabet Approved not at all kind or professional. More like dismissive customer service and rude .
Highly recommend all those looking in the market for home heating oil to seek out and buy from Petro. Even their online channel is user friendly to make payments.

Had annual service call on house boiler in basement. Technician was outstanding and went well beyond what I expected. He noted scorch marks on metal damper on exhaust pipe off boiler to chimney. He explained this indication of overheating was from hot gas blowback due to soot accumulated at base of chimney. He then corrected what was a potentially hazardous condition by accessing chimney base and vacuuming the soot. He also clearly explained his work related to servicing the boiler proper during this service call. Technician was professional, affable and took great care in cleaning up ar the conclusion of his call. Petro home services is definitely the way to go.

Worst company I think I have ever dealt with in my life. The amount of issues we have had since day one and it continues to get worse and worse. Terrible sales department, never disclosed the contract increases yearly in the beginning. Their contract is very brief and doesn't explain everything. There should be a signature involved to legally bind it. If that was the case, I would have went somewhere else. I have anemia and 2 very young children who can't even take a bath right now, because we have no heat in our home. They keep changing our window and we just renewed our contract with them very recently. I am in my own home freezing with tons of layers on trying to keep my kids warm. Even my dog is cold. I also notice that Petro only comments for good reviews. Fix your problems with your customers. I have been waiting now 8 hours since my inital call and was told another hour to go.

I had the pleasure of meeting Vince from Petro, great guy! Not only did he inspect my boilers and furnaces but he was also kind enough to walk me through how the system actually works. I left the conversation feeling knowledgeable and would HIGHLY recommend requesting Vince as your tech when calling Petro.

I have been using this company for over 30 years, and they have a near-perfect track record for scheduling deliveries. II have only twice run out of oil the entire time. Their customer service is very helpful and interested in getting problems straightened out. My main issue: All my past records were lost when they transferred accounts to the new system. No big deal since I have them anyway, but if I need to look up a past balance or payment I can't.

2 One question about the price per gallon. I am still paying over $5 per gallon when gas stations, etc. have come down almost $2 per gallon.

I had asked last year and this year to have monthly deliveries, not to depend on "degree days," and automatically you send a truck 30 or so days. I have emphysema, am 80 years old, with thin skin. I cannot work around the house if the heat is at 68 degrees (peripheral artery disease) and keep it at 72 or higher on windy, cold days. Thank you. We've never shopped around for oil suppliers and my parents bought this house and I inherited it--so that makes 63 years of companies with good service (name change three times when sold).

My heating went out and I called Petro Home Services to fix the problem. They made an appointment and then moved it, and so on for three days. Finally, after many calls and negotiations, a technician came. However, he stayed only a few minutes and did not fix anything as he was unable to determine the cause of the accident As a result, I lost three days from my vacation. I had to turn to another company. They came within an hour and figured out what the problem was.
