Waiting for hot water service 3 days! They should bring in more technicians during extreme weather....Otherwise, never had a problem with this company. However, now we now need to look for another company that specializes in private homes, since priority given to large commercial buildings. They are putting money/profit over their reputation, which is now at risk.
Called and given a window later in the day. About two hrs before scheduled time, the Petro truck pulled up to the house. The technician was very thorough and are air condition system was repaired. Thank for your prompt service.
They are very rude and customer service is poor. The price per gallon is higher than of companies. When setting the budget they made me to may extra when it was not needed. At the time on canceling they charged an extra $400 after our contact being terminated. Do not sign a contract with this company. Their cancellation fees are absurd and their customer service is useless. Very unprofessional choose another company don’t choose them! Stay away! If I could I would give 0 stars.
I recently had a new oil burner installed thru Petro and the process was very straightforward and efficient. I want to make particular mention of Bob Rella who planned the size of the boiler and the installation and Lisa Cardet who made sure that the installation was done promptly and that my necessary govt. filings were done on time. There was a great deal involved and Lisa gave the necessary attention to my file!! Thanks again.

Propane services are the worst. I had a new house with a working stove. I started with there service. They did not use my tanks, told me my stove was broken and they looking for a part. Two weeks later nothing. I called and they said well we can't find the part. When i asked what part they were looking for exactly, so I could help. They told me that I should call an appliance repairman. Two weeks. Nothing. I had a inspection of the house and the stove was working fine before petro got there. Rude, untimely, and I am very ware of their installation.
The techs don't know what they are doing. I had 5 different techs come over to my moms place to fix a water issue. We were left with cold water for 5 days in a row. They came everyday for 5 days and didn't fix anything. Then when I call the service department and tell them about it the people who picked up the phone laughed and said and I quote "really it isn't fixed yet" while saying this they were laughing. They are unprofessional, disrespectful, and don't seem to know anything. They were majorly late when they said that they were going to show up. I was told someone will be at my place between 9pm and 12am nobody showed up and then got a call at 2:30am saying that someone was on the way. Horrible and poor customer service. I'm not happy at all.
My recent experience with Petro has been extremely frustrating. Back on October 25th we renewed our service contract with Petro at our house that is rented out. Petro was supposed to fill our tank with oil. We had no idea that they installed a red cap lock on our tank and have not been delivering oil until our tenants complained there is no heat on December 4th. Several calls for technicians have been made. Petro made an appointment at 10PM instead of 10AM as we requested for December 6th. My husband had to travel 3 hours to the house rental after Petro claimed they made a mistake with the hours and gave us a time frame of 3PM-5PM. The service technician, Carlos, did not show up until 9:30PM. Once he arrived he said he didn't see a leak, and said Petro will not service oil unless we change our oil tank. He said that normally he could ask for an emergency temporary tank within 2 hours, but the oil tank is empty and since he cant see a leak, the temporary tank would not be installed until the following week. This is outrageous! Our tenants with two small daughters have not had heat in the house since December 4th. We have been waiting since December 4th for an oil tank sales representative named Mike to call us and he has never called. W called this morning trying to get a field supervisor to escalate this matter to install a temporary oil tank today so that the tenants can have heat, and we were told they "possibly," might do it at some point today. We currently have two Petro accounts with a year contract and have had Petro as our service provider for years. I am so disappointed with the mismanagement of how this has been handled since October. We never received any notification that a red cap was put on our tank. We are still awaiting a temporary oil tank to be installed and we need heat!
Hello my mother been with them over 10 years never had a problem with them always very helpful to her you can’t say that about many companies the customer service was always nice and the men that come clean the boiler. She has recommended them to many people over ten years petro oil is the best . Thank you
