Express Home Services

Express Home Services is a great business to work with. We needed to update and relocate our air compressor. They were willing to work out a payment plan and were willing to beat out other quotes we received from other companies. Danny and James showed up and were both polite and friendly. They thoroughly explained what they had done and were really professional. They got the job done quickly and efficiently. I hardly even noticed they were there. I was really impressed and will definitely call them again for any other HVAC services we may need.

Jeff A explained everything and made trips to the supply store so he could complete the jobs right away. He tried to give us a good deal and was very accommodating with my questions and requests.

Very prompt service. Replaced a 24 year old A/C unit. Kendon was all by himself and worked tirelessly for 6 hours to complete the job. The process was very smooth. Prior Humphreys customer and still very satisfied with the acquiring Express Home Services.

Jeremy was professional, and walked me through everything that needed to get done! He made sure I understood. Customer service is Top Notch everything they come. I couldn't ask for a better company to work with.

I really had a great experience with Humphrey. I purchased a furnace and a/c unit. I felt like they treated me fairly in the price and really helped me make a good decision without over selling me. Jason is a absolutely amazing! I trust him completely. The install crew was professional and efficient. I really appreciated Chris going above and beyond in making sure the system worked great. Beware of the pushy hvac companies and give Humphrey a shot at your business.

Humphrey's was subcontracted by another company to install a garage heater. Required a reschedule due to my own fault. But the reschedule happened without problems. Danny and James showed up on time, and got the install completed in one day. Price was a little higher than I wanted, but happy with the work that was done. Furnace works great and the work was professional.

I have mixed feelings about Express Home Services. I asked them to come out to connect my fridge to the water line (the fridge had a built-in ice maker and water dispenser). The installation took 15-30 minutes (there was already a hole drilled through to the basement and so they just needed to connect the line to the existing plumbing) and cost me $480.00. I did have a subsequent plumbing call where pipes under my sink needed to be rerouted (which took hours and somehow only cost $597.00?) I've also scheduled numerous other appointments (HVAC checkups, plumbing checkups, etc.) and moved my work schedule around so I could be at home for those appointments. I have now had 3/4 appointments be rescheduled last minute, which was incredibly inconvenient.

So, again, I have mixed feelings. Pricing is inconsistent and adherence to schedule varies. Might work well for some, but was not worth it for me to continue forward with them.

I would like to give them a 5 star review, and in some cases many may have given a lower than 4 star review, but I feel that their response time and professionalism to the circumstances of warranty work was redeeming and worth praise.
Express helped us relocate our furnace 15 ft back towards the nearest wall, which involved extending the duct work for the return air, readjusting the trunk for the vents, and venting out the flue to the outside exterior wall. For the most part they did a great job and would like to provide feedback for improvement:

DISCLAIMER: their response time to the issue below was excellent and professional. Every contract has a schedule and work in progress, as well as several jobs and clients. We are not the only focus. They did however give us priority and addressed each situation within 48 hrs, which I feel is a great quality on a service company.

Follow up with your technicians work:
(Perhaps regular training and practice to ensure no technicians have poor practices)
Better seals in the seams - no tape was used, just globs of mastic to seal the retrofit (I went back and taped) and there were a few large gaps.
Make sure technicians are not dry fitting and forgetting to glue -
We had almost the entire intake line of the flue come apart after install because they dry fit and forgot to go back and glue. Tape measures work in replacement of dry fit or just double check.
Clean up your trash completely -
I picked up several pieces of sheet metal pieces after the install, and old joints left outside after the warranty work. Clean up completely
Wiring check -
In the relocation wires got swapped around for AC and when we went to turn it on for the first time no cool air. They sent a technician back out and it was fixed quickly, but again, double checking is a great practice

Would still be happy to recommend, but hope to see improvements in those simple areas.

Nick and his entire crew were polite and friendly, pleasant and very efficient. They put down drop cloths, removed my old equipment and installed new in one day, leaving absolutely no trace that they had been here except new equipment which is working perfectly. Nick explained its use clearly and left documentation. The atmosphere among the crew leads me to believe that Humphrey is a good employer and a quality business.

Humphrey has continued to service my furnace with professional and prompt service. Today I called for a pluming problem, and Dave went to great lengths to fix my problem quickly and for a fair price. I am so glad the company now offers plumbing service.

Brandon serviced my furnace and fireplaces quickly, and efficiently. He explained my furnace problem and the repair necessary and how much it would cost. He was professional, friendly, and left the areas spotless. I could not be more satisfied with Brendon and Express Home 8
Services. I will definitely call them next time again for quality work at a fair price.

R J installed a new hot water heater and replaced a faucet today. He was so pleasant, skillful and did everything in a very timely fashion. I could not be more satisfied with RJ and Express Services. I love that I get a photo of the technician in the email advising me that they are on the way, too.

We had some regulators installed on a few of our appliances. Doug was our service man and he was AWESOME!!! So kind, knowledgeable and honest, and even was patient with our barking dog who knew there was a stranger in the house. Doug worked quick and let us know exactly what we were looking at service wise, and was very honest about the work we needed now and maybe in the future. We will definitely use Humphrey Plumbing for our next plumbing/hvac need. Thanks Doug, we appreciate you!!
