It was time to upgrade the thermostat which required attaching the C wire (the common wire). Please don't watch those videos assuming you can do it yourself (technically you can strip the insulation locate the common wire and attach it to your new thermostat - but they are going to be other wires that require piggybacking a technician will know AND there are wires that need to be connected to the circuit board at the furnace AND some of these furnaces may require a new circuit board!)

Do make the job easy and safe as possible for the technician - they need access not only to your thermostat but where your furnace is located (mine is inside my section of a townhouse second floor access into the attic space via an opening, so yes I had a 9 ft ladder at the ready - even holding it down so that the technician can safely get up there!) Stay out of their way so that you will have everything necessary accomplished.

This company has been the best AC company I’ve worked with!!! In my rental, I’ve had issues every summer and the warranty company sent out a random repair person. They would just throw a bandaid on it and call it a day. Patrick from Express Home Services took his time to diagnose the issue and has been back to continually check on the unit. This company cares and has backed it up continually. Please use them should you ever need AC services!!!

Joey was the plumber. Talk about courteous, politeness and skilled , Joey had it all and more. I got a job done right the first time. How many business can I say that about, Zero!

Jeremy was the electrician. Joey and Jeremy showed up back to back on time and energized to do what ever I needed to be done. Orange is their company color, how refreshing. And both gentlemen were so caring with my home and even cleaned up after their work. Superheroes in my book🌺

We reached out to Express Home Services for Several Electrical projects. Although the office was responsive, their technician was completely rude and unprofessional. He was angry and complaining from the moment he walked in the door and then further, when we were trying to explain the work that needed to be done was argumentative and disagreeable. We had provided their office with a list of the project work needed and in which room but he didn't seem satisfied with that information, instead he demanded that he get clearer instructions to do things light replace a ceiling fan or bathroom fan. He clearly did NOT want to work and if that is the type of worker coming out of this company the thousands of dollars we would have spent to get our 10 project items done will go to someone else! We have worked with at least 10 other companies to get other projects done so we know that this guy was the exception and not the rule. I do not recommend this service at all.

Had someone from this company out last summer and was impressed with their service which is why they were the first company I called when I was looking to replace my HVAC system.

They had someone out the next day on a Friday to help talk me through options and everything was installed with a fancy new thermostat on Monday.

Scott, Jeff, and Joey (I'm going based off the communication texts. I'm so sorry if I forgot anybody!) were extremely friendly and respectful. Installation went quick and everything was working great when they left!

The one thing I was most impressed with is how knowledgeable and passionate everyone seemed to be about what they were doing. These guys know what they're doing and you really are in good hands with them.

Definitely do not hesitate to work with Express Home Services. Fantastic service!

I inherited Express Home Service when my AC company shut down a few months back. Gave me a year of their annual service plan, and things are great. Just did an AC maintenance, answered my questions, suggested only a few minor repairs since my unit is 10 years old, discussed a few other options to keep my unit working. Mason was fantastic to work with. Very happy with the quality of this company!

Jeremy Musser was great! He gave me different scenarios so that I knew there wasnt just one option. He was honest and up front about everything. That's very important to me. I would recommend Jeremy. He is very professional and knowledgeable.

Mason from Express Home Services came out for a semi-annual maintenance. He found a leak and was able to fix it and fill it back up with coolant for us. It's running great now! Mason was very knowledgeable and explained everything as he went. Really appreciated Mason.

Express Home Services is a great company. I had purchased a complete system from another company that was sold to them since the owner decided to retire. Instead of making my life miserable they not only took me on as client, but they honored all warranty and maintenance contracts to ensure that I was protected. They also included a free year of maintenance checks for Heating as well as AC to welcome me as a new customer. I highly recommend this company and Patrick McAuliffe ( Service Technician) for any of your HVAC needs.
