A/C was having trouble after changing Thermostat batteries. Called John C Flood of VA and Scott McGuire and his assistant were out here in a few minutes and had the problem identified and repaired within minutes.

This is the most responsive plumbing company we've found within our geographical area. The staff are very friendly, responsive, highly skilled and professional and the quality of work is outstanding.

There are several hallmarks regarding the service that stands out for me:
1. Communications - The company follows up within several minutes after scheduling the appointment with an email and text acknowledging your time and day. Moreover, as an extra layer of security, the company sends out an email with the name and photo of the technician who will be providing your service;

2. Weekends and weekdays are subjected to the same service rates. The company's rates may be a little higher than average overall but that allows them to have staff come out any day that works for your repair need. We've had a Sunday need in the past year and the service was flawless, and;

3. Highly professional, skilled and courteous staff. Everyone we've had out over the past year have clearly communicated how they were going to resolve the issue and if any problems arose, offered clear plans/options for resolution. This is an attribute of having highly skilled trades people on staff.

John C Flood is our go-to plumbing resource for all of our repairs and installations. I highly recommend them.

Since we last used John C. Flood for several very well done plumbing jobs, we decided to call them for an electrical installation. We had called several independent electricians who were recommended by friends and family but received no return phone calls from either of them. Thus, we decided to call John C. Flood.

They sent out an electrician, Andy, right away. He was able to assess the need with a review of our requirements and also making sure he and we understood our goal. In this case, we wanted to have a generator tie switch wired into our main circuit breaker panel to keep the lights on and refrigerator operational, automatically, during a power failure. The tie switch would allow us to plug in a portable energy storage system that would automatically run our appliances from its stored battery.

My takeaways from this install:
1. The technician's assessment and estimate were spot on. Moreover, he was extremely knowledgeable about the operation of the generator tie switch and how to balance out the circuits to work with our battery system.

2. The company is not the lowest priced BUT you get what you pay for and this was a top notch professional installation.

3. Finally, the installation was very neatly done and Andy and his apprentice were very courteous, professional and great communicators of what they were going to do, the process and ensuring that they understood the statement of work and our stated goals.

Again, we are very pleased with the workmanship and professionalism of the John C. Flood team.
