I had a problem with my first floor AC unit. The repairman came in and checked our first floor unit. He came back and gave me an estimate of almost $5000 for a system they installed approx. 5 years ago!!!!!! I then called a second company for another opinion, he came in today and fixed the problem in about 2 hours for $100! I would not recommend Preferred Home Services at all.

Buckle up because I have a lot to say... We've been dealing with PHS for a couple of years now and we will not be taking our business anywhere else, if we can help it. I'll save you details from the last two years, but I would like to brag about the tech (Noah Gilbert) that's been servicing our HVAC: He came out last week for an annual inspection and flagged everything with a green light. 8 days later my AC system crapped out. I had a little trouble getting through to the office (it's summer in March - I get it), but when I was able to talk to someone, they dispatched a tech, on the same day. Noah showed up, was patient and asked the right questions, did some troubleshooting, and realized that there was a large leak. I had originally thought it was something that he had done during his inspection (the timing coincidence was too real), but it ended up being related to a job that they'd done a while ago (not Noah's work btw). They fixed everything under warranty. It was a job that would have cost me $2000-3000 if I'd had to pay out of pocket. I'm not saying that this is going to be everyone's experience, but today, as usual, Preferred Home Services took care of my house and my family. 100% would recommend! Also, if you get Noah, you're should know that you'll be in good hands.

Preferred responded quickly to my needs. This was the second time I needed quick service, and Preferred delivered both times. A technician was at my home both times within 90 minutes. Alec Moore was the technician both times. Alec is very professional and friendly. It is very easy to see that Alec wants to make sure that I’m a satisfied customer. Thanks to Chris Gibbs for responding quickly in providing a quote for installing a water line and valve for our new refrigerator. Everything worked out great, and my wife and I are completely satisfied. Thank you Preferred for the great service.

The install team is responsive and fast but cuts corners that cause issues that are then handed off to the completely understaffed service team. The technicians are good but they are scrambling between jobs fixing issues and no one will follow-up without repeated and constant calling.

Our unit was leaking into the room below that we only discovered when the bedroom below began leaking and now accumulating mold. We were told the issue was resolved and it was simply a software failure but after further inspection they used duct tape instead of spray foam causing the unit to run improperly and drip water all across the ceiling of the top floor.

This one example is a room that is planned to become a nursery but now we are concerned about the mold accumulating. We have been waiting a week for a response.

The ownership refuses to acknowledge the repeated installation failures, on another occasion a faulty part wasn't in stock causing us to go a week without AC and now are left waiting for the service team to get spray foam in stock before they can repair it. How an AC company doesn't have spray foam on hand is mind boggling.
