Petri Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Drain Cleaning

We contacted Petri Plumbing for bathtub drain clearing because our neighbor used them and had a great experience. Scheduling was easy, they are very responsive but also in high demand so they were unable to come immediately.

The plumber showed up early and was very respectful to our apartment, wore shoe covers and looked at the issue then provided a quote before the work is started. It was about $317 for the drain clearing. It took him 15-20 min and he got a massive clog out of the shower, the shower worked again! The plumber suggested that we have a drain cover to catch hair and to pour baking soda then hot water & vinegar every two weeks to clean the drain from hair but not damage the pipes (vs. draino).

I will definitely use them again, it was pricey but I think quality work and inflation has increased costs for everyone.

I was advised to pay $200 fee for some kind of special HVAC servicing contract when I had Petri do annual boiler service call last fall. I still have no idea what that fee was for. The company was unavailable for subsequent AC maintenance or repair work despite the fee. They don't do any natural gas pipe or duct work, which is not helpful. They also charged me a lot of money to "diagnose" a problem with a kitchen faucet, and quoted me an astounding $600 to install a new one. I found someone else to do that for a better price, and think I'll be in the market for another plumber this year.

The office ladies helped an old man understand. The workman who came was a true craftsman. I am grateful to all.

Petri is exactly what I needed-- professional, on-time, and straight to business. We thought we had a gas leak, but the gas company came out 3 times and could not find anything-- Petri came and found it immediatly, and got the permit pulled immediately and took care of business. They even came back the next day free of charge to double-make-sure we were all good. Both repairmen were professional, and nice, and knowledgeable. We've found our Brooklyn company now, Petri from here on out!

I had this company come out to assess installing a sump pump in our basement. The cost was too high so we declined, but the service technician was super nice and the company seemed to be reliable so we called them back to come and do yearly maintenance / cleaning on our HVAC units and check out our boiler.

The first time they were supposed to come out and assess I think it was September 20th (which is also really frustrating for what we need done there really doesn't need to be an assessment + return for an actual appt to inspect a boiler or clean a HVAC unit) they were not on time and weren't going to be able to get to me until an hour and half after the scheduled window and I could not do this because I had to leave for work. So sat at home all day waiting for nothing. They rescheduled me for Friday, they suggested Thursday but I told them I was not available at any point that day. They still proceeded to call me starting at 7am on Thursday, woke me up, asking to come that morning after I already told them no. Then they cancel on me on Friday, day of. I tried to reschedule them AGAIN even though I should have just moved on. I'm sitting here waiting again all day and I'm about to have to leave for work and they still have not shown up and I call them and they tell me my appointment is canceled because I called them this morning at 8:57am and canceled it, which is impossible because I was asleep, and I am the only person who has been in contact with them for scheduling this work. No sent out calls registered on my phone so I didn't do it in my sleep! Done with this BS. Moving on.

Great service and reliability. Service Rep William and his trainee associate were on time and courteous. William explained the problem after his extensive troubleshooting and research of prior service calls. I was satisfied with his efforts to resolve the ongoing problem.

I found Petri online and they got such good reviews I decided to take a chance. Petri did not disappoint! From the moment I called, Chris was super friendly. I was able to get an appointment for our busted sink pipe the very next morning! We were sent and email and text with the name of our tech/repair man coming as well as a photo of them so we knew who to expect. Jose Ramirez came right on time, was super polite and professional and did an amazing job. He replaced the broken pipe and the drain all within an hour!
I received an email follow up to make sure we were pleased with their work, and got a follow up phone call from Lauren who also was able to give me a recommendation for some other home repairs we needed.
Every person who works here receives an A++ from us and we will be using then again for all our plumbing needs and recommend them without reservation.

I wrote a review in July about my first time calling Petri Plumbing. For the work to be done a permit from the City was needed. This week in October the permit was issued and the job has been completed. I had the pleasure of having this significant plumbing issue worked on and completed by Michele and Thomas. They are both very personable and pleasant to interact with. They explained their work clearly. They were very focused and professional in manner. They were very neat and made the best effort to leave the job cleaner than when they found it. That is an important and noticeable practice. Michele also discovered a problem with the vent from my new water heater. He informed me quickly and I was able to have the problem fixed by the installer that day before a more serious issue occurred. Again Petri Plumbing left me feeling satisfied and secure in the quality of their work. Possibly not the cheapest game in town but expert. And cheap can be expensive! I WILL use their service again. Used Petri for a leak in our salon space. Everyone on the team was extremely communicative and helpful and our service expert, William, did a FANTASTIC job. Very happy with the results and will definitely be using them for future services. Thanks everyone!
