The man who came to do the work was very courteous & knew his job well. We’ve been using Petrie for over 20 years have never had a problem with their service

Never showed up, never called!

I am updating my rating from 1 star to 4 based on subsequent contact with Petri. It is now pretty clear to me that my bad experience was an honest mistake, a one off. I base this on the reaction of Petri's to my complaint and to my low rating. I received a number of emails from the company, including from the owner, explaining the mistake and apologizing profusely.

Many of you might think, "Of course they are apologizing, they want to get a higher rating from you." Common sense, but in my experience, not common practice. Many, if not most, of the plumbers I have dealt with do not seem to care, or are not set up to respond to complaints by their customers in a meaningful way. There are plenty of other customers for them not to worry about the occasional complaint.

I think that when a company who reacts towards me as Petri has, it shows that their reputation is a priority for them. Although I did not get to hire them for this particular job, I suspect that this overreaction to follow up and redress their mistake and to maintain their reputation are good indicators of what kind of company I would be dealing with in the future. Together with the other comments about the quality of their actual work, I would have no problem recommending them to anybody else.

I've been using Petri exclusively since moving to Brooklyn nearly 10 years ago. Their service is superb and the quality of their work is unmatched.

$715 to install a faucet that took less than 60 minutes to install. Expensive!!! Expensive!!!! Cannot recommend.

We have been using Petri for our AC/Heat and plumbing for last 2years. Great service, technicians and follow up.

Great service on boiler repair and water heat replacement. Both technicians were on time and professional. Repair was same day. Installation of new tank next day. Thanks again for the great service .

People please be careful with them especially if you are a female they take advantage , I call for a boiler maintenance I was told by other people that it includes drainage of boiler and checking back flow for condensation buildup ,I sign a year contract with them not knowing their maintenance on a boiler is just to looked at pipe and check gauges to see that their are working that all on my new boiler system any thing else what to scam you out of a lot of money to do it . Told me he have to go in to vehicle to talk to boss about a price why can’t you speak in front of me you doing the work for me they wanted to make up some foolish price to over charge me for to drain a boiler $600 additional plus my contract price from before just to add a treatment in water that cost $15 overprice me and drain system
Please be aware of what company are doing and have some ideas of what you are supposed to be getting for your money,luckily I had a little knowledge and didn’t fall for that by what people told me and other people in the business cost .overpricing us .

Very professional and very prompt. I have used them 4-5 times for different items in our house and their service quality has been consistently high.

Steven and Mike were professional, on-time, and efficient with the heating maintenance call. They completed their work with minimal interruption and did a fantastic job, explaining the work to me clearly. They were even available to make an unplanned emergency visit to a neighbor, who was having a severe backflow issue. Outstanding customer service from both Steven and Mike, as well as the Petri team - service that seems to be rare these days. Thanks to the both of you!

RIP OFF / SHADY - $800 to change a Home Depot style faucet during 1 hour of work.

Stay away from them, they think their license gives them the green light to use a hidden price “matrix” . they changed a faucet at a rental without approving the price with the owner.
