These people are scammers!!! Don't use Aquarius, American, or Freedom (same company, but they have three different names and two different numbers for some reason...?!)

Our air conditioner went on the fritz on June 3, during hot weather. Renato Carrasquedo with Aquarius a.k.a. American a.k.a. Freedom was quick to come out (June 5). He quoted us $1300 for a repair or $3500 for a new one. Minimum $80 service charge. We were a little suspicious, and luckily waited for a second opinion.

Standard Heating and Air came out three days later and said it was a cut/chewed wire. Service guy Mike stripped the wires and used a wire-nut to reconnect them. Fixed in 30 minutes for $170.

Nick was very thorough in checking the heating and AC units and gave me pointers on how to prolong the life of my HVAC systems. He was very professional and pleasant to work with.

Came changed my filters, trainnee in tow, for my yearly service. All seemed to go normal, and I returned to work. Came home to shower and go to bed, thought the shower was off but blew it off to emagination. Repeated full day of work came home to shower and go to bed, and knew the water was off, came out drier then I went in. Too late to call. Got up Saturday morning and called the problem in. Was told that I was not in there emergency service area, though I pay yearly to have service, and was also told someone would call me when they get around to it, and was told to have a nice day and hung up on. Over 6 hours later someone called me, 10 mins before they closed mind you so even if I could have answered the phone at that moment they would not have done anything for me. Not to mention the message says to call them back to schedule a appointment that was clearly made me notice that my systems problem that they created was of no importance. Oh, but it has a 90 day warranty. And that's supposed to make me feel better, reminding me that.
So I feel sorry that this is the only place that I can make a complaint. But it may be the only place it may be taken notice on also.
