Our drains backed up this morning, the Friday before a holiday weekend and we have an house full of family. Our local plumber couldn’t come out today so they suggested we call Michael & Son for emergency service. Our first touch point, the dispatcher, was courteous and helpful, and set us up for an afternoon slot between 3:30 and 6. We got a text around 3:15 telling us Josh was on his way, and even got a link to an app to track his location. Josh and Carlos arrived around 3:45. They came in and asked some questions and spent a little while diagnosing the problem. This included running a camera through the pipes. They explained what they were doing and what they were looking at, and also what my options were for solving the blockage and preventing further issues. They were also very clear about the costs involved so I didn’t have any surprises. They were here for a little more than 3 hours, first clearing the blockage and then descaling and jetting the pipes clean. Overall this was as good as plumbing emergency calls can be: plumbers arrived on time, were friendly and polite and answered all my questions, fixed the problem, and left my bathroom nice and tidy. Josh and Carlos were fun to talk to as well, and we caught up on our favorite football teams. We’re glad we called Michael & Son today, it’s a relief to be able to use our toilets and showers this weekend!!

The time had come when I needed to purchase a new air conditioner. I contacted Michael & Son for a free estimate. Mr. Thomas Dixon came out and examined my furnace and air unit outside. He went over the types and sizes I would need and provided me with an option plan that fit my budget very well.

On the day of installation, Technician, Mr. Ricardo Salgado contacted me prior to his arrival as to inform me that he was on his way and should arrive at a specific time. True to his word, Mr. Salgado arrived and went straight to work. He was friendly and professional. When asked how long the installation of the air unit and furnace should take to complete, he gave an estimate of about four hours. Mr. Salgado kept his work area organized and neat. Once completed and finished two-hours earlier than expected, he tested the installation and I immediately noticed within 30 seconds the cool air in my condo This never happened before with my old unit. Mr. Salgado cleaned up the work area and left no trace of his presence being there. The work performed was beyond expectation. I'm very pleased that Michael & Son have him on their team.

Joshua was so helpful. He explained everything that had happened and what was happening — several times because I kept paraphrasing and asking new questions. He was beyond professional and patient. I’m a tenant so the request for service was put in by the landlord, but Joshua’s presence was such a relief.

Called to get a quote on compressor replacement. Got the model number and all the info ready, but this company is too big to operate like that and wants to charge me $150 to come and look at what I already looked at and confirm that needs fixing. Going to keep on calling around for HVAC professionals who know their stuff.

Carlos was very professional, kind, knowledgeable, and explained the situation to me for me to understand the issue I was having with my kitchen sink clog. When I called Michael and son services, the information that was given to me by customer service rep about $99 special that I had advised to the customer service rep was miss understood and wasn’t clear. Technician said different cost upon arrival after finding out the situation in my home. Customer service rep should be clear on misleading information to the customer.

Installed HVAC system to my satisfaction. Other services included a new return air vent that is not finish or completed and I am very unhappy. The other services were duct cleaner and that has not been done. I am not happy and don't plan to use your services again until all services have been completed.

Joshua’s professional and friendly demeanor was just what I needed after dealing with a complete and utter nightmare that three other plumbers were not able to resolve. I definitely will be back.
