We are Lanz Comfort Family members for years now. We always have been very happy with any maintenance, repair and advice Lanz technicians have provided. And we are now very grateful to Boston who came and fixed two burst water pipes on December 26. He identified the location of the burst pipes very quickly and was very careful when cutting the dry wall and ceiling necessary for the repair. He fixed the pipes swiftly and explained to us in detail what he was doing all along the procedure. Boston has great professional, communication and human skills and provided outstanding service. We thank him very much and recommend Lanz to anyone who needs assistance with plumbing, cooling and heating systems.

Lanz going above and beyond!

I emailed Lanz from their website on a Friday evening (after business hours) to schedule routine maintenance on my A/C unit for the following week.

Monday morning I received a call from Lanz regarding my email. They told me that they were scheduled to be in my neighborhood in May for routine maintenance calls. This being the first time I’d scheduled any kind of maintenance with them I was unfamiliar with their neighborhood rotation scheduling system. I had been hoping to schedule the maintenance sometime that week since I was off work and would have a greater availability.

Understanding that this was their system I accepted it. Knowing I would be back at work when they were scheduled to be in my neighborhood I asked if they had any weekend appts. The gentleman on the phone said unfortunately no they didn’t and the reason for that was so they could keep the weekends open for emergency calls. Having been one of those emergency calls several years before, I appreciated their quick response and availability when I needed. So no weekend appts? Ok, no problem.

Next I asked about evening appts, unfortunately they said their latest appt was around 3:30p (I think is what he said), unfortunately that conflicts with my work schedule. So disappointedly I began racking my brain trying to find a day/time that could work. The gentleman on the phone must have overheard me struggling to figure out how to make it all work because he suddenly he asked me again about my availability this week. I told him I could be available anytime this week. Then, without me ever asking, he said he could have someone come out this week, so we worked out a date and a time and got it scheduled. I was so relieved when he said he could get someone here this week but it caught me slightly off guard, I wasn’t expecting it, I mean I didn’t even ask if it would be a possibility.

I’m guessing that when he heard me struggling to figure things out over the phone, he must have found a way to make it work so someone could come out this week, just to simply help out a stranger on the phone. I wish I had gotten his name because he didn’t have to go out of his way to help me, he just did out of the kindness of his heart and I am so thankful to him for that, it really made my day.

But it doesn’t end there…

The serviceman who came to my house to do the routine maintenance on my A/C unit was also very nice and super friendly (shoot, I forgot his name too…ugh I’m so bad with names). Anyway, I just got a new puppy and I explained to the servicemen how I was working on socializing my puppy and I asked if he would mind saying hello to my puppy and giving him a few pets.

The serviceman was more than happy to accommodate my request. He encouraged my puppy come over to him, let my puppy sniff him out, then gave my puppy some well earned pets with friendly words for being such a good boy! We spent the rest of his service visit talking about our respective pups while he completed his checks and maintenance on my A/C unit.

It took just a few minutes to show kindness to my timid little puppy but even just those few minutes of kindness does a world of good for my puppy.

So, to the two kind men who cared enough help me and my puppy:

My furnace was not heating and it was after hours. Regular service provider had not responded for hours so called Lanz. Got a person immediately after hours and service tech arrived within 2 hours. Polite, friendly, and left us with working system despite need to replace multiple parts.

We have been with Lanz for years but this year when it came to do our maintenance for plumbing the heating maintenance and did his and plumbing was supposed to be there the same day never showed. We tried to call the office to find out what was going on. It took 2 weeks of getting automated answering to finally getting to talk to someone. Finally we scheduled a day for them to come out and we decided to replace hot water heater. We scheduled a day to install after sitting here all day they sent text saying we were rescheduled for next day. We tried calling only to get automated service. The next day the same thing happened after sitting all day waiting. We received text saying next day we were rescheduled. We canceled the install and maintenance service.
