Tried to charge me over $700.00 dollars to replace a outside shutoff valve. I asked if just the insert could be replaced told me oh no that can’t be done the whole valve has to be replaced. Went to ACE hardware and found the insert only cost me $5.00. It worked just fine would not ever recommend this company to anyone straight rip offs

My 15 year old central HVAC system bit the dust (in spectacular fashion) during tropical storm Colin on Monday. As I've endured some less-than-stellar service from another local AC company, I decided to Google "ac repair" and look around a bit. I saw "Cool Now", noticed they serviced my area, and read the reviews, liking what I read. I called them with tempered expectations as it was getting late and the storm was still hitting us. They picked right up and a friendly coordinator said they'd have someone over that evening if I liked. I deferred to the next day and met with Randy who was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Randy inspected my system and presented me with my options including costs. I chose replacement due to the age of the existing system and inquired as to how long it would take to replace my 4-ton heat pump and separate air handler. MUCH to my surprise, Randy said he could have the job completed by the following evening. I think I mentioned to him that that would be some feat; he chuckled and said they’d get it done. Well, suffice to say, they did get it done, a crew of two showed up the next day and removed my old system and installed a brand new system in about 8 hours, AND they were very considerate, skilled, and thorough. I’m kind of amazed. Highly recommended.

Chris was very professional showed up on time after his 20 minute courtesy call. I was very impressed with the service. He was very knowledgeable about the system we have, and answered all of our questions. My husband and I were so impressed with the service we took out the yearly plan, as it was a better value than we have paid in the past for other A/C service companies. The added plus was their on call and emergency services they provide. I would highly recommend. I will shop around no more for A/C services. Thanks Chris....

Cool Now Air Conditioning is who you want if you’re looking to get your AC checked out or repaired. Our AC was on the fritz for four days before we decided to call anyone. We finally caved on Veterans Day when the temp just wouldn’t go down. It seemed to only kick on at night. The repairman came the next morning and within five minutes figured out that we just needed a new thermostat. He didn’t push us to get one from him, said that that was a cheap fix we could do ourselves by just buying one at the store but that if we did want him to install one, it’d come with service calls and maintenance but there was no pressure in that offer. He was easy going and helpful and didn’t even charge us for coming out. We will definitely call them again if we ever have any issues in the future.

Chris T serviced our ac today. He was very professional and so very nice to take the time to answer all of my questions! Chris helped me to understand how my ac works and things that I can do to keep it running good. I really appreciate that he did such a great job on my ac today and he just made the overall service appointment terrific! Called to get an estimate on an A/C service. When salesman arrived, he was rushed, pushy, and badgering us with questions about other services previously done of the house that had nothing to do with what he was there for.

When the duct work was finally happening, it lasted a day longer than promised and we had no A/C for almost two days, which we were told would never happen. Workers had to be reminded to wear a mask indoors (thankfully only once) but they did NOT use drop-cloths to cover anything, as their services and contracts promised. They made a mess of our furniture and computer equipment, even when asked to use cloths. Large glob of caulking was dropped onto rug. Used some of our tools and cleaning supplies in the garage without asking.

These all seemed like "small" offenses until I had to call the main office in Tampa for an adjustment to the bill, due to decrease in drops being serviced. This was the real nightmare. I had to talk to multiple people, over multiple phone calls, and I was still not being told the accurate price. MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR OWN MATH. We were told the price of drops, did our own math many times, and had to make more return phone calls before we finally got the bill to what it was supposed to be. We were not looking for a discount, just what the bill should actually be. All of these phone calls were with the main office in Tampa and for some reason, no one could do proper math. I'm not saying they were trying to get away with something, I am saying to triple check the bill you're given.

Overall, very unprofessional company and not worth the hassle. Would not recommend. Their promises online of "Respect & Honesty" and "No Bait & Switch" did not feel upheld to us. Also, their financing will include a $29 activation fee for the credit card it is placed on, which the salesman will tell you doesn't really happen. It does.

It would have been a better experience for me if the technician would have given me better costumer service. After he told me the bad news about how bad my AC was- he said " you need a new AC, there is your free consultation" he said this very rudely. I did not like this man at all and if in fact i do end up with a new ac unit- i would not call these people to install it. The people on the phone whom you schedule the appointments are good though.

Apologies for the late update. Another technician was sent out a couple days later. I do not recall his name but was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explain the issues with my AC in lame-man's terms- long story short, i still need a new AC and will be contacting Cool Now for a quote. Thanks for the great costumer service!.. the second time around :)

5 stars for Brandon. Best customer service ever. Don't expect Cool Now dispatchers to get anyone out there as promised but Brandon was so honest, trustworthy, and informative. I changed my opinion of Cool Now after he serviced my AC and advised me on future options for a much needed new system. I was glad the other technician didn't show up the day before.

Sold my house and had inspection done. Buyer requested ac be serviced. Called cool now and they sent some one over the same day! Brandon came by and did a thorough check of the upstairs and downstairs unit! Explained everything to me and set the new home owner up with a maintenance plan to make sure they understood the work that was done. Very professional and friendly service definitely recommend Brandon and Cool Now for any ac work in the central Florida area!
