US Air Heating and Cooling replaced our heating and air conditioning system during the Labor Day weekend after our 17 year old system stopped cooling. The company was completely professional in all aspects of the job from the quoting process through to installation. A business should stand by their work. If they do a job incorrectly, I believe it is their responsibility to correct it, but I do not believe it should be at the customer’s expense. That is where US Air and I differ in philosophies.
Improper initial install of duct work cause excess condensation on the unit in my attic. Not one tech noticed it during the bi-annual PMs I had done until this past May (year 3) or when I had to call them about a drain pan full of water. The tech fixed the issue this past May, after he discovered the error of the waking initial install but the drain pan was completely rusted.
we just sold our house and it was recommended by the inspector to have the rusted pan replaced. Guess who paid for it. Me.
On a positive note, everyone I have interacted with from USAir is super professional and courteous. And in 3 years of doing business with them I feel they have only done me wrong one time, but thats one too many when dealing with with an expensive piece of equipment.
