Our heat was malfunctioning on January 31 when we woke up to below 0 wind chills and very cold floors. We called Betlem and Joe arrived within an hour. The problem was a bit tricky to identify, but Joe stayed with it and before dinner our home was once again warm and comfortable. We have had Joe for service in the past and he has always represented himself and his company in the most professional manner.

Called Betlem for after hours No Heat; 60* in home; answering service put me in touch with on-call tech who responded to my call within minutes and followed up with an "on the way call". "Tech Dave" was very professional and knowledgeable in diagnosing and making the needed repair - excellent and courteous service - would definitely call again!

I have been a Betlem Residential customer for over 20 years. Eric St. John and Betlem personnel have always provided prompt and reliable service over those many years. Betlem Residential has provided and serviced A/C units, gas furnaces and the water heater at my home during that time. This year I took the next utility step and added a 20kW Honeywell natural gas back-up home generator.

The job scope was challenging due to the utility connection points in relation to the generator location. Planning for the generator location along with electric and gas line routing started in May with Craig VanDusen taking the lead for Betlem Residential. The 100 ft+ of electic and signal cabling was installed in May during a separate landscape project. The 100 ft+ of gas pipe along with the generator itself was installed on September 15, 2016. The transfer switch was installed and all electrical connections were made on September 19, 2016. All installers and electricians worked professionally, accurately and quickly to complete all the necessary tasks.

The unit was test run under load on the same day as the electrical hook-up. Everything performed as designed for this far from standard installation. The unit was tested under a worst case scenario load condition and performed without having to shed the A/C unit which it is wired to do if needed during an emergency power outage.

During this design and install process Craig went overboard to ensure everything was done correctly, professionally and in accordance with all applicable Town and State codes. The unit has now also gone through it's first exercise cycle. With proper routine maintenance, it is anticipated that this generator will deliver many years of reliable service.
