I have unfortunately used many different companies around the Vegas area to handle my AC needs. I FINALLY have found a courteous and professional company, in Dr. Cool. Erika and Adria were beyond awesome from my first call, all the way through delivery and payment. This is a team that puts the customer's needs first! I highly recommend them!
Our air handler quit running freezing up the compressor. Dr Cool came out thru American Home Shield. They checked everything and figured out it was the motherboard on the air handler. It took a day or two to located a board for a 28 year old system. The first board did not work despite being a factory board. The next day they came back with another board. AC is running just fine. Easy to recommend there folks.
Terrible experience when servicing our A/C unit. Technician was unable to solve the problem and left things in more disrepair than prior to servicing. Left the house with exposed wires showing and thermostat no longer working. I was told a supervisor would be back to solve the issue. The report sent to my warranty company did not match what the technician stated, so the claim was denied. When I called to question, I was told that we must have messed up the wiring in the house and that's what the problem must be. I would have been happy to pay for service outside of the warranty in order to fix the problem, but the whole experience was just negative. Luckily we were able to handle the mess on our own and unit is running great now.
Cody and Andy made an amazing team. Had the motor we needed along with the two capacitors. Up, down, fixed in a little over an hour. We are big fans (no pun intended) of Doctor Cool and call them out annually for a/c checkups. They even came a day early (after the office called and asked if that was okay, of course).
Adrian came out on the day and time agreed, and he did an amazing job. He also had all the parts needed in his truck and never had to leave or come back another day because he didn't have a part. He was totally prepared. We recommend this company! Super professional and friendly! Thank you so much!
I had a bad experience with doctor cool. I went through my home warranty and they assigned them. They came to my home 3 different times within 10 days and didn't complete a single thing. Each time they came they stated they would have to order a different part. My next appointment was an average of 3-4 days later. Total of 10 days issue still not fixed. This all was happening right in the middle of winter with the temperatures in the upper 40s to mid 50s. While attempting to get a sense of urgency from the company they simply did not care. The individual that answers the phones was not friendly at all either and simply did not care about your issue. I would never again have this company at my home and you shouldn't either. Overall I cannot recommend this company, there are MANY other AC companies out there skip this one and choose another! If you go through home warranty, you are able to choose a different company as well if you request it, they have many to choose from. You'll be glad you did.
Dr Cool was very prompt and responsive, they came out a day earlier than the scheduled appointment and Matt diagnosed and fixed my ac unit in under 30 min. Matt was very professional and even gave me some tips on how to keep the ac unit running better.
This company was dispatched by my home insurance American HomeShield and was supposed to repair my heating system. Every other time someone came out, they fixed it within an hour. This guy said it’s due to a missing sight glass for the pilot light and he’s submitting his paperwork to do the repairs. He went to his truck and after 30 minutes or so of sitting there, he simply drove away. I call my home insurance and get told they can wait up to 24 hours to submit any paperwork?!? So, it is now 5:05 pm and I still haven’t heard any type of update and I feel it really shows true colors of a business when they can do better; but don’t.
My experience with this company is ridiculous. They are doing fraud working with American Home Shield Warranty company. They find loopholes into the system and will give you a reason for doing nothing to fix or suggest a fix. They are just making $125 money out of being called for a 5 minutes appointments. And they know they will just write some ridiculous reason to not allow the warranty to cover it. Here is what happened- I raised a ticket with American Home Shielf Warranty company to check on my faulty 2 gas heater in my house. Some lady from doctor cool called to take an appointment and I confirmed that I have 2 heater/ AC units at the house and want both of them checked and thats exactly I did when raising the ticket with Warranty company. The lady confimed for the 2 unit checks but the guy who showed up at the door said he has ticket for only 1 unit which was purely lie becuae I had 2 units(infact 3) mentioned in the dispatch. Then he just took 4-5 pictures and next you know is he reported there are physical damage/ misuse and faults on the heater unit. This company took $125 from me on top of monthly warranty cost to take 4-5 pictures. This is one of the worst experience through any of the AC/ heater service company so far. I strongly believe they are doign fraud and ready to find people like us to make easy money for 5-10 mins time and drive across Las Vegas. I am going to report it seriously to the warranty company so that it doesnt repeat with anyone else.
Was dispatched by American Home Shield and provided a totally inaccurate and fraudulent diagnosis.
My system was frozen over and just needed to thaw out, the technician (Matt) tried to tell me the system needed a full recharge of refrigerant which since my plan on AHS only covers $10/lb of refrigerant was super convenient for them and was just Doctor Cool trying to get a quick $2000 out of me.
Called another company for a second opinion and their tech that the system just needed to thaw and that refrigerant levels were full. The second opinion company technician spent almost two hours trying to find out what could be wrong with the system before saying that it was in perfect condition. Furthermore the second company said you can’t diagnose refrigerant levels when the unit is frozen over so the diagnosis that Dr Cool provided was a total shot in the dark and an opportunity to just make a quick Buck.
If you are assigned dr cool via AHS would recommend contacting AHS to request an alternate service provider.
This diagnosis happened over two weeks ago, the second opinion company came out the same day and the unit has been working perfectly since then.
