Very bad customer service. S&R Heating's phone number is popping up on our Thermostat's screen. I called in to inquiry about having two water heaters replaced, and the lady who answered the phone was very rude. She only asked me what city I lived and said: " We don't service that area". When I told her that their company's contact info was being displayed on our thermostat, she in a very bad attitude starting asking me for my name, phone number etc. This lady should not be employed there, or she should have better training to deal with potential customers.
Let me start by saying that I had a very non-traditional project request. I have a solar-powered home with excess electricity that I was looking to utilize. I also had a broken air conditioner and had been looking for a contractor to come out and provide me with a solution but was not able to find someone who could confidently offer me what I was looking for. Scott came out and immediately explained to me my options and left me with three pricing options that would meet my needs. He was thorough and informative. What I ended up with was an innovative system, the Bryant Evolution system (heat pump paired with a gas furnace for back-up) and it has proven to be an AMAZING system. I highly recommend them!
Qualify of installation was very good. Had both a full HVAC (furnace and A/C) unit installed. Very professional and polite workers. Took great care in protecting work areas and cleaning up afterwards. You couldn't even tell they were here all day working. The Evolution system is working well. Well worth the money. High recommend.
We've relied on S&R for our heating/cooling needs for years. Trusting them to do the recent replacement of our AC unit further underscores their unique ability to consult on options and deliver value by finding the best fit. They have always been on time, easy to work with and personally engaged to ensure our satisfaction...and they say "thanks" for the business!
I normally don't write reviews. But I believe that this warranted a special consideration. I just purchased my first home(like within the last 72hours of writing this). Unexpectedly My furnace stopped working and my house was freezing. After getting the run around from multiple repair shops, I called S&R. Scott, the owner informed me of the charges to come out after hours(emergency call). I was reluctant, I mean seriously who wants to shell out more money after just buying a house. So as I'm breaking the bad news to the Mrs, Scott calls me back as says "hey your house is on my way home, Ill stop by and check things out and if I cant fix it we will at least get a jump start on tomorrow for parts, at the regular rate." Of course I accepted, within 10 minutes he was here. did some work and got it up and running. This type of personal service, like the old days, just doesn't happen anymore. Needless to say I will be coming to S&R for all my heating and repair needs from here on out. You sir, have earned my business for life. I thank you for putting the bounce back in my step of owning a new home.
Just had Scott here. I had another company install a new AC unit over the summer. Spent days trying to get it to work properly. They did get it working. Then it got cold so I went to turn on the furnace and nothing happened. The other company has been here twice and told me it would be about $900 to fix the problem. Scott got here and had it up and running with no parts needed - turned out the other company had wired things incorrectly. I just had to pay for the trip charge and a little labor. Great job Scott. Thanks.
This is the third time ( installed a humidifier, annual service on furnace, and installing a gas line ) I have used S & R. Each time they were prompt and used their time wisely. They are conscious of keeping their work done professionally and always clean up the work area. I would not hesitate recommending them to my friends and neighbors.
The team at S&R have been serving all my Heating, Cooling and major appliance needs in my home since I moved to Woodbury, MN in 1999. Whether replacing, repairing or maintaining existing equipment they deliver friendly, thorough service. Give them a try...you will love their customer service.
My furnace went out on the coldest day of the year so far Saturday morning - I was happy that Scott was able to come out and fix my igniter and sensor and get heat back in the house. I totally understand that this was an emergency call on a weekend - I was surprised to get charged both a trip charge and emergency call charge - especially when this basically is out of a homeowners control. Don’t get me wrong Scott was awesome and I cannot be more happy to have heat again. Thank you very much for your service.
On December 17, 2019, S & R Heating replaced our Furnace, Ventilator and Humidifier with the Bryant Evolution System including the Connex Wi-Fi Thermostat. They also installed the Network Interface Module so that all 3 units can communicate efficiently.
Scott Sicard, Jim, Joe and Alex did the installation. YOU CANNOT ASK FOR A BETTER TEAM! All 4 were super friendly and did a fantastic job. I have been down this HVAC road several times before (3 new homes plus replacements in 2 others) and they were the best.
I had asked them to add 2 gas fireplace shutoffs located near the furnace. Not only did they install the shutoffs, but re-routed all the pipes so that now I can get around the furnace area without bumping into them. They also changed the humidifier to a much better location, again getting it out of the main walkway so I'm not always running into it.
Being a senior citizen, all the new technology can be very confusing. Scott and Alex were very patient and answered all my questions. Once again, they are super friendly.
When the job was completed, except for the new equipment, you would never know someone had been here doing a major installation. They had tarps down in our front entrance, down the steps and completely covered anyplace they had to do any work. (Even put my dorm room type refrigerator back on top of a cabinet so I would not have to lift it by myself.)
On the back of Scott Sicard's (1 of the owners) business card, it states: "The value of the job should not be determined by the price, but by the quality of the installation and the service after the sale!"
To me it is very obvious this ideology is what Scott and his employees live by in their operation.
