    Scott had done our heating, cooling, and appliance repair for some 30 years, in two different homes, and we have been exceptionally pleased the whole time. We even have had a whole high-efficiency heating and cooling system installed by S&R and we couldn’t be happier with it. Very highly recommended.

    Update in the time of COVID: Scott comes through again, wearing a mask for safety. And we have had more equipment installed by him not too long ago: UV, ionizer, and dehumidifier.

    I have known Rob Langer for over 17 years - since we moved to MN in 1997. I think at that time he was a "two man operation" (Scott & Rob). He has been doing tune-ups on our Heating/AC system ever since. About 8 years ago we got our new Bryant system from him. He also replaced our water heater and water softener.

    His service is great. He is always on time and does good work. I have no problems giving S&R 5 stars. My only (minor) complaint is the price. I wish S&R services were a little less expensive.

    This company is AWESOME! Nobody is better at doing what these guys do... nobody! Every person I have dealt with at S&R is friendly, knowledgeable, & very professional. I would highly recommend S&R for all of your heating and cooling needs. They are very passionate about what they do and once the installation is done, they don't just move on & forget about you. They are very good about making sure you are happy with your system and they aren't just moving on to the next sale. Again, they are the best at what they do and if you want the best, don't look any further than S&R Appliance!!

    I've been relying on S&R Appliance Repair since we bought our house nearly 30 years ago. They have always provided excellent service and are incredibly prompt at returning calls. They have always arrived quickly when there is a problem especially if it's an emergency. They are friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. And they have always repaired or installed the appliance to my satisfaction.

    Main message - $200 minimum.

    We called this company happy to see there was a professional appliance repair company for our refrigerator. Happy with service , but they did not communicate a trip charge or what the cost was going to be. 20Min of labor cost us $200+. Easy communication to make before a service in my opinion.

    After when I brought it up to the office, was met with a nice woman who transferred me to the manager, and they basically said “well we can listen to the call but I’m not going to do anything about it”. Even a $50 discount for the surprise $200 bill would have made me feel like they understood, but not a whole lot goin on in terms of client professionalism.

    Manager’s tone was unprofessional and a little rude. I would use their service again that I know this, I’m not the type to write negative reviews or be cheap- but the customer service and professionalism was lacking :(

    S&R heating, cooling and appliance repair were both professional and did great work bidding, and installing our furnace, air conditioner and water heater. Made recommendations on better use of basement space with our washer and dryer. Explained on how to program our new system and took the time to show us. When bidding, explain each item so we would understand. I would recommend them for your projects. Owners check all of the project, crew was very professional and on time.

    S&R installed a full HVAC system for us this week - outstanding service! Professional, respectful, prompt, cheerful, courteous (all wore Covid masks 100%). The top notch team was lead by Nathan B. and included Scott (owner), Alex, Joe, Stephen, and a second Nathan 😊. We are very pleased with the purchase and service! Highly recommend S&R.

    I came into contact with S&R Appliance, Inc. (Rob) via the Woodbury, MN community web page. I was having problem with my current furnace and wanted to determine if repair or a new system was the best option. After Rob laid out many options, I decided to go new. Although a new system was a larger investment than repairing the existing system, going this route was the best long term solution to having the proper heating and cooling system for my property.
    The old adage “you get what you paid for” is very true. A few things really resonated with me regarding Rob and his company: the passion he has for his craft, the goal to service the customer to 100% satisfaction and his overall integrity through the entire process. A few examples of integrity:

    • Rob didn’t belittle the former work or system. Instead, he focused on what solutions his company had to offer, stating, “For some this is only a business. When we do work, it’s our Picasso”.
    • When going through all the options of what I could do Rob stated, “No is a perfectly acceptable answer”. No high pressure tactics here, just straight up and honest. Again, this stated to me Rob was in for the long haul, not the quick one-time buck!
    • Finally, when the job was complete, Rob provided me with options related to a maintenance plan. Previously, I had another H&A company come into my house and selling me a maintenance plan was their first priority vs. doing the work.

    I won’t put my name directly in this review, but if Rob ever needs a recommendation or a potential customer wants to speak with me for a reference, I will do that for Rob and S&R Appliance in a HEARTBEAT! In my opinion, you’ll have no better option for this important part of your home’s operating system.

    Called at 7 p.m. Furnace would not stay lit. Tech was here before 8 p.m.
    He checked several items as this furnace is 18 years old. Replaced the one item ( some sensor) assured me he checked all other possible issues and found none. Furnace has worked since then. When the time comes
    I will first look to S&R for replacement. I want to mention that this was
    a perfect chance to upsell or do more than I needed, as I am not the HVAC guy. I had to trust his professionalism and knowledge. I felt I was treated fairly with prompt courteous service. No one likes paying emergency call rates, but they were reasonable and the tech was honest.
    Can't ask for more, when you depend on their expertise and you get it.
