I live in a 55+ mobile home park in Carver. I had a cold water line leak (fitting) needing repair. I'm giving Dempsey 1 star because they were able to come out today for repair. I removed metal panels for the plumber to gain access (took 2 minutes). They charged me $575 for repair. I'm 67 yr old woman, they had me climb under mobile home 3 times to shut water off & on. Finally I said for $575 you can climb under there and do it. I asked Garrett if he replaced the metal panels and he said I did the best I could. He did nothing, just leaned them up against the home. I called and complained and rep told me they aren't responsible for that, terrible customer service. I had a local plumber (Carver) come out a year ago and replace 2 fittings for $325, he removed & replaced panels no extra charge. That's great customer service! If I wasn't in a pinch I would've waited for him. I will let everyone know (285 homes in park) not to use Dempsey and why!

Do not trust this company, they are very dishonest. I called to have them come out to give me a quote on a new central air unit. When booking, at the end of the call, the receptionist mentioned there would be a 99 dollar fee to have them come out. She never mentioned anything else. The technician came and gave me a quote for a new system and then tried to have me pay another 189 dollars which I refused saying it was a 99 dollar fee, not 189. He left and then came back 10 min later saying I had to pay it. I called the office and she said this was a diagnostic fee which is absurd since there was nothing to diagnose, they were there to give me a quote for a new system which was very much overpriced. When I told her I had another company coming out on Monday to also give me a quote (for free, no dispatch fee needed) she basically called me a liar and said no company comes out for free which is not true. Such a shame to try to get fraudulent money out of your customers when you have the potential to get thousands with a new unit. I would not do business with a company like this.

Dempsey is very obviously a dishonest, untrustworthy company. The negative experience I had with them seems to be common practice for them. I guess there is no pride or concern by them to own an honest company. All negative reviews about them that I just now read, every customer states the same exact issue that I had. They require a credit card up front before even sending out a tech.
They inform you of a $99 fee for the service appointment. Then they proceed to charge your credit card a second time for whatever amount they feel like, without approval, without informing the customer, no invoice, no explanation and without even fixing the system.

Josh was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the entire unit and how it operates best. He immediately found what the problem was and in a matter of minutes my central ac was up and running again. I will recommend Dempsey to anyone who is in need of HVAC repairs. I intend to use them myself.

Received response as soon as insurance claim was submitted; the men were prompt and polite, were patient and clear when explaining things, and cleaned up everything afterwards!
My only complaint was that I had no water to offer them! Definitely plan to employ in the future!

The guy who showed up did not seem to have experience. He looked and checked our central air and said nothing was wrong. I knew something was wrong because it was so hot that we almost had to sleep somewhere else. We were not getting much air on 1st floor. He also told us that we had the wrong filter and it was inserted wrong. He was wrong, we had it right. He said because there is nothing wrong that we would only be charged the $99 fee. When I checked our account, we were charged $99 and an additional $130. We had to call another company who fixed it right away. We needed a new capacitor and some freon. It has been working great since then. I was able to talk to a manager from Dempsey and received a full refund.

Don't trust this company with your credit card. They say they won't bill it with out your consent that's a lie. I was charged 2 service calls, $99.00 each, i should have only been billed one, or even give me a receipt for it and they refuse to return the second one, have to contact my bank. I was told billing would call to explain, never happened.all further requests to speak to billing end in a hang up.Work that was done had to be re-done by another company. Their asking $365.00 for him resetting my thermostat.
