The repair man was polite and friendly. He is competent and respectful of property. The company responded promptly and was able to help the same day. The service man repaired the boiler quickly. I definitely recommend Dempsey and Cristian.

I had an sewage ejector pump basin with a leak. Garrett Holmes and his apprentice did a terrific job. I would give them five stars but, the cost was almost double the other two estimates. Dempsey was able to get to it immediately. All it all, satisfied.

The technicians were very pleasant and professional. They started by explaining the procedure and what it would cost. They went right to work. They cleaned up the area after they finished and took with them any trash. I highly recommend Dempsey Energy for any plumbing needs.

I contacted Dempsey for repair of boiler on 1/5 and my experience with this company is the worst I ever had with any companies. A technician came on 1/5. I spent $160 on diagnose, the technician said need to order a part of $691.30. I agreed and hoped he could come back with the part soon. He did not come back on 1/5. He did not come back on 1/6. I was told the job was scheduled for Monday 1/9. On 1/9 Monday, no technician came. I called at 2:30 pm, and was told they had the part, and scheduled the Job on 1/10 Tuesday 8-12 AM. I asked them to do the job as the first thing tomorrow, because we had waited for 5 days without hot water. On 1/10 Tuesday 10 am I called to check the status, and was told the schedule had changed to 12-4 pm. On 2 pm I called to check the statue, the technician was still on other job, there was not guarantee the technician would arrive soon. Because they have not kept promise for so many times, I do not trust their words any more. I cancelled the job. So I spent $160, waited for six day, the problem was not fixed.

(Continued on 1/12) The company charged me $691.30 for the work they did not do. The charge is on Amy credit card account. Yeasty I contacted another contacted. A technician came at 10 AM, did diagnose, went to pick up the needed part, returned to finish the repair at 12:30. Less than 3 hour it was done. He charged me $235 for the whole work. Compare this with Dempsey: $160 for diagnose, $691.30 for repair, 6 days waiting. Dempsey is not a company with decency and professionalism.

(Continued on 1/12 after viewing the owner's response) Dempsey's owner needs to address three thing:
(1) wrong charge: $691.30 for the work they did not do. The charge is still on my credit card account right now (1/12 11:30 AM). I had asked my credit card company to dispute the charge.
(2) over charge: for the whole work they charged $159 for diagnose (I already paid on 1/5 and 1/6), and $691.30 (if I let them do the job. I was good to cancel the job). The total is $850.30. Another company charged me $235 for the whole repair.
(3) prolonged delay: for a job other company can come on the next day and finished in less than 3 hours, Dempsey made me wait for 6 days. And even on the 6th day 2:30 PM they said the technician was still on another job, could not guarantee he could arrive soon.

I actually do not expect the owner would address the issues, based on my experiences. I just want to lay out the facts, and clarify what are the issues.

Overall, they did a good job. Came out on Monday to fix a leaking boiler, replaced some parts but didn't test properly so it was still leaking after they left. Called and they scheduled for Wednesday first appointment at 830am. Had to call 5 times and they didn't come out until 4pm, which was a waste of a day off as I was sitting around waiting. When they came at 4, they were able to quickly fix the issue and had the parts on hand. Both technicians were helpful and professional. They could definitely improve on communication and being on time. Things happen, but a simple call/text would have saved me an entire day off of work.

Absolutely the best in service and support! I was without heat for a week. My boiler needed a part replacement and a cleaning. It was during a holiday week. They didn't miss a beat! Crystal, Nichole, and Mitch were the ones I dealt with and they were nothing short of miracle workers! Got in, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and had heat going again within a few days. I have no doubt it would have been even faster if there wasn't a holiday sitting right in-between the service call and the day they got it fixed. They were professional and accommodating, compassionate and reasonable, and completely up front about everything from day one. I will refer them to anyone looking for fast and reliable service! Thank you all at Dempsy for helping my family during this chaotic time and making the process that much easier for me! Especially knowing I was a tenant and not the owner of the property! You guys are #1 !!!

Made appointment and they never showed but still charged the card. I called the office 2.5 hours after my appointment time to complain about them not showing up. I was more than reasonable with the amount of time I gave them to show up. When I asked why I was never called to say the technician wouldn't be on time, the staff was rude and said they were telling me then. I had to initiate the call to them, they never called me. There only solutions were to keep waiting for an unknown amount of time and maybe he would show up or reschedule for a fee and waste another whole day waiting on them. At that point I decided not to do business with the company due to their unprofessional behavior and lack of communication on their end.

Another negative review for Dempsey because of misleading billing. I have used them for many years as an oil supplier, but this experience made me very unhappy.

When I made an appointment to have someone from Dempsey to replace an air conditioning line cover on one side of my house (the old cover must have blown off in a windstorm), they charged my the usual $99.00 charge for making the appointment. The so-called “dispatch fee”.

Two days later, while I was working, Dempsey called to tell me that the technician had gone to my house to evaluate the work, and that the total charge would be $249.00. Although it seemed like a lot to pay for a very small job requiring inexpensive materials, I okayed the work.

When I drove home about 30 minutes later, there was no one there working, but the technician arrived soon with an assistant and told me that the price I was quoted earlier, $249.00, was no longer valid. The correct price for the job was now $398.00! Of course I didn’t have much choice but to tell them to do the job, which took two men 23 minutes to complete.

Judging from other comments here, this seems to be a common complaint about Dempsey: changing the price after the customer has already paid $99.00 up front. Naturally, I called the office to complain and was told that the higher price was correct. They couldn’t explain why they had asked me to approve a lower price only 45 minutes earlier.

I came back from vacation and discovered both of my heating systems were not functioning. even though there was an immenent storm approaching, Dempsey managed to get a technician to us within a few hours. Being rescued from a very cold situation in a timely fashion was imoressive and tremendously appreciated. They did a great job!
