Dempsey Energy

Will from Dempsey came out to our home for a HVAC tune up and was great. Even though there was an issue with our old system, he was so knowledgeable and took his time to explain things in a way I would understand. He was very patient with me and happy to stay as long as possible to answer all of my questions. And even though we got bad news about our old system, I feel educated and understand all of the different options/routes available to me to move forward. thank you Will!

Tim Sanson and Dempsey Energy were great. Our furnace stopped working Sunday night and they were there by Monday afternoon to fix it. They walked us through the problem and gave us tips to help us keep the furnace functioning. Even with the quick response the price was VERY affordable. We will definitely be using them again!

My hot water heater needed to be replaced and a number of companies did not respond. Very pleased with Garett and Dempsey. Polite and professional and also informed me immediately about problems.

Had Garrett, nice enough spent 1 hour relocating a 1/2 pipe 6” . Paid you $460.
Wanted another $350 to set the toilet and bolt it down. I understand service , I owned a fire protection business for 30 yrs.
He helped me for 2 minutes, left me in a mess, never turned water on to toilet because I didn’t want to pay $350 more to set the closet bolts. 1piece toilet that I cannot lift by my self. So now, after paying
$460 , which I understand and is fair, leaving me to set the toilet, with interior
Closet bolts, which takes 2 men about 10 minutes because I didn’t want to pay $350
To literally set the toilet on the flange is a bad service call. I ran 7 service trucks and understand costs involved. I had a 4 hr minimum for years. So now I need to find another person to help me put toilet on floor flange. Nice guy. Bad service move.

William was great!! Great service. Arrived during the agreed window and gave me good advance notice before arrival. Got on with the job, fixed the heating issue quickly. Kind and respectful of me and and my home. I would certainly recommend Dempsey Energy.

I had a leak in the pipe that goes to outside faucet. Contractors were ready to pour cement and I could not use water faucet. I needed someone immediately. Dempsey was here in under an hour and got the job done. Thank you.

***UPDATE*** (2/23/23): Contacted ALL STATE PLUMBING in North Attleboro, MA. They performed the job in 30 minutes for $325.00. Still not ideal, but WAY more inexpensive than DEMPSEY. NEVER get a plumber that quotes by the "JOB", always get one that quotes by the hourly rate. They will almost always be cheaper, at least for the smaller jobs.

Had a Granite company come to the house to re-attach the sink as the original mounts had loosened. They needed to disconnect the plumbing from the left side of the sink and remove the garbage disposal. They could not re-connect as they are not fully licensed for that. Now, I told you that story to tell you this story...

I called Dempsey Energy today (2/22/23) to have them reconnect the plumbing on the left side of the sink (with new strainer) and to re-connect the Garbage disposal. No wire running, no drilling, no new piping. Had all the parts except for the strainer on the left side of the sink. Already paid the $59.00 Dispatch fee. The price I was quoted for a 1-1.5hr job was...

wait for it...

$656.00!!!...Plumber told me that I was getting a discount because a NEW garbage disposal install would be more expensive!!! Luckily, I asked for a quote before the work began...needless to say...the answer was a resounding NO...

I believe that the model Dempsey Energy uses is similar to an Auto Repair Center. They either have a self-defined price or look up a specific project in the "Book" and that is the rate they charge (pre-defined hours/Project). If they finish early, you DON'T get the refund. They DO NOT charge jobs by a straight Labor rate. If they did, their hourly labor rate would be $437/Hour for my 1.5Hr job!!!!

Moral of the story...look elsewhere for you plumbing needs...I beg you...look elsewhere.
