Had them replace a failed system. They were great thru the quote and scheduling steps. Install seemed to go well - until a few weeks later when I realized they hooked the supply up to the return for my upstairs unit. And gaslit me for months when I called them about it to fix it. Also, they didn’t wrap the wires to the AC compressors outside so I can’t use my back patio because of exposed live wires. It’s been a year and they still won’t send anyone out. Going with another provider to fix these issues. Coolray charges premium prices for below average service.

I have been working with Coolray since 2017 when we had to replace our air conditioning unit and have some repair done to our HVAC unit. Since then I have been under their service system maintenance plan and it has been a breeze. I have maintained my system at no cost other than the maintenance plan and Jung has been our preferred technician, so he comes out to see us twice a year. I cannot recommend him more highly! I have loved working with Jung and the Coolray team to ensure we have everything taken care of for heating and air in our house.

Charlene came out on time she was very knowledgeable about HVAC She came out to check out our HVAC system and she found out that we need to replace it. She gave us a complete analysis on our system and told us about the new regulations. We are so grateful that Coolray has great trained employees.

I called cool Ray to come take a look at my rental house because my tenant told me that her thermostat kept blanking out on her. The technician came and stated that he checked everything on my system and everything was great I just had a bad thermostat. The cost to replace the thermostat was $350. Since I already $89 into it because that’s the service fee to come and look, I obliged and let them replace the thermostat. My tenant called back 3 days later and said hey the problem is happening again. I called cool Ray again to come back and take a look. This time the technician said I had a bad capacitor. When I questioned this because I was just told three days before that everything was fine besides the thermostat, the response was that during the first trip he didn’t have time to recognize the problem with the capacitor. Since I needed my tenant to have reliable AC I asked him how much to change the capacitor. The response I received was shocking.. $514. The labor to replace a capacitor consist of plugging in 4 wires. I found my capacitor online for $21. Knowing this was outrageous I decided to try a different company. I called them and let them know I thought I needed my capacitor replaced and they said they would come and take a look. A technician came and immediately ruled out my problem being the capacitor. They found a faulty switch in the attic and replaced it for a little over $100. To sum it up, I could have spent $864 with cool Ray and my problem wouldn’t have been fixed. I definitely do not recommend this company!

Engaged their services through Home Depot. The first gentleman that came out was very nice and worked on my two units for 2 hours for $29/unit and was very helpful. He told me I needed a new return box for $700 and we agreed to do the work.
The next team that came for the replacement disagreed and told me that some screws were blocking the filter box and fixed this within 30 minutes. Happy that we didn't have to spend the $700 but I was charged $400 for less than 30 minutes of work. I was told I needed to dispute with their office and took 4 days to get someone to take my call and they would only apply a 10% discount. I was told the $400 was the cost of them coming out... Definitely felt like they took advantage of the opportunity and sad to hear that this was their outcome. Will not be using their services moving forward and wouldn't recommend them either.

Very VERY annoying that their service people are trained to Primarily Upsell during regular maintenance visits. Can a business JUST perform a regular maintenance without the Constant Upsell BS?!?! I've been a regular customer for years but the Obvious Upsell push is making me consider other vendors.

Unfortunately, our unit could not be fixed. But, the employees with this company are excellent to work with. They're courteous, punctual, knowledgeable and eager to work with you. Their response time is incredible! They clearly want your business!

After 3 visits in 5 weeks they didn’t have the correct diagnosis, yet they charged each time. Blow Heating & Air LLC (Angie’s List) came out and had the correct diagnosis and had the unit fixed in less than an hour. Coolray is the **worst company to do business with. I’m still waiting for Kristen from Customer Relations to return my call. Technicians are unprofessional and rude.I waited from 8am until 4pm, for tech. My time slot was 8am to 12 noon.

Best experience with Coolray! Jeremy is awesome! Fixed a leaky pipe we had going to our furnace and it is better than ever now. Such quality work at a reasonable price and excellent communication. We recommend Coolray and will be calling on them again for any HVAC needs!!
