I contracted Cool Bear through Costco. Dave the sales rep from Cool Bear contacted me and scheduled an appointment at my residence. He was professional and knowledgeable. He provided me with several options and I made my choice. Three days later 3 Cool Bear service/installation men arrived. They removed my old central A/C components and installed the new Lennox components. It was an all day project but it was done neatly and professionally. There were a few hiccups during the installation(location of drain line in my attic and relocation of my thermostat) Problems were corrected before completing the installation. Overall I would definitely use and recommend Cool Bear for future HVAC projects.

Our salesman Alex was very thorough and easy to talk to. There was more to know about AC than I thought but he made it understandable. Lots of financing options. Our install went smoothly and we love our S30 thermostat!! Kurtis and Mackenzie were our installers. They took maybe 8 hours which is what we were told to expect and they showed us the vacuum testing the system showing it was connected properly before they left and it’s been great!!

Cool Bear installed our Lenox a/c unit in 2017 & they’re very responsive when we need service. We’ve been very happy.

The Cool Bear Team of MacKenzie Lauriston and Roman worked carefully, diligently, and answered many questions that arose concerning how HVAC systems work. We are very comfortable with the install, AC operation, and followup with Clinton Shillingford. Challenges arose during the install. Roman and MacKenzie were professional in every regard as FPL worked on their equipement in the area. Fortuntely, HVAC work was completed as promised with great success. Thank you MacKenzie and Roman. Here's to your future successes.

I’m very happy with their work. They had the A/C in stock and were able to install it the next day for me. They treated my home with respect covering the entryway and making sure they didn’t leave dust and dirt from shoes and the drilling they had to do to adapt the area I had for the installation. The machine is top notch and I’m very pleased with its efficiency and most of all with their guaranty.

Horrible experience. Salesman came in, made the sale and promised the world. By the time they installed, the Salesman was gone and I'm left with a sub par product. I am very disappointed. Technicians came by several times and they could never deliver a/c to the master bedroom or bathroom as discussed. Connections are sloppy and are moldy. Stay away from this place!

BUYER BEWARE ! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FRAUDULENT COMPANY AND AND GENERAL MANGER JOHN THOME !!! I would leave no stars if I could. I would like to share my experience with you:
Late Last summer I was having trouble with my air conditioner. It was not keeping cool and every month I would have a repair man come out and service it. I was in the market for a new air condition system.
I came across Coolbear at Costco wholesale. I made an appointment for a salesman to come out. I informed him of the situation, and he told me that they could fix that and that with a new system that I would never have that problem again. In fact, the salesman was so convincing that I purchased two because I had duel systems at my home.
They installed the two lennox systems for thousands of dollars. When it started getting hot in June, same thing happened! Hot ! Not cooling down. Since June 23 I have had Coolbear come out 4 timeS and never fix the problem. Twice I waited ALL DAY they never showed up and never called ! I finally wrote the general manger an email because his card was in my folder. He sent someone out after I threatened to report them. They found a leak which the repair man admitted should have been detected when they first put the system in it was never inspected. The repair man said they should be culpable. Of course John Thome told me that it would cost me almost $2000 to put a new line set in and then told me he would split the cost with me. I called three other companies and they laughed at his price and said it’s somewhere between 700 and $1000 so he jacked up his price to try to get the money out of me. Meanwhile it’s 83° in my house they still haven’t fixed it never once said they were sorry or how they can help me just that it will cost me to fix the problem they put a $14,000 bandaid on. I am contacting Costco , better business bureaus, and a lawyer. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!

It’s hard to believe that the A/C has stopped working for the 5th consecutive month since the first time it stopped. The previous A/C came with the house when we bought the house and it stopped working. I was told to buy a new one which is a decision I profoundly regret. I ask myself if the previous air conditioner really had an issue or if I was simply misguided and wrongfully influenced by you and your company because the new one is installed and I am still having problems.

I bought a $7,444 A/C on 08/24/22. This price is more expensive than most companies charge. However, I saw Cool Bear at Costco and I thought that everything from Costco has excellent quality. I was wrong about the AC and now I’m paying for the consequences.

Today is the 4th time in 4 months that the A/C stops running for the same reason. This is why I am emailing you; I will be writing negative reviews and sending this letter to Costco.

I don’t find it fair that I paid $7,444 dollars to fix a problem that just keeps coming back. Also, your company, Cool Bear, has been causing arguments between my wife and I. Mad wife, bad life.

30 days after the installation of the new A/C on 9/10/22, was the first time the new A/C stopped, the technician said, “When you installed a new A/C and the temperature was too high and there was be probably not enough gas.” We said “okay” and moved on.

But on 11/10/22, the new A/C stopped for the second time and we were given the same excuse.

The new A/C stopped a third time, 12/10/22, and as you can tell, the A/C stops every 30 days for the same reason “the gas is leaking”. However, I find it difficult to believe that the A/C just stops working every 30 days.

After Hurricane Ian, but before Hurricane Nicole, we were afraid the house would get damaged. So, we had someone trim the large mango tree we have in the backyard. A small branch fell over the A/C on the outside area. This caused an approximately 2-inch dent on top of the AC. So, on the third time, the technician said that the A/C had a leak and the dent made it worse however it’s not true because the technician visited our house every 30 days and the length between those visits still the same. A little more than 30 days after the last visit the A/C broke once more proving the branch never was the problem.

However, a little more than 30 days later - 1/19/23, the A/C stopped once again.

According to Florida’s Lemon Law, on the third time, the product must be replaced. My question is, should I look for help from Costco? Should I find myself a lawyer who will make sure that law is followed? Or, should I give you guys one final chance to fix this issue once and for all?

It has Just 3 years of warrant and in 4 months it stopped 4 times, its hard to trust in this equipment from this moment the right ting to do is follow the law and replace everything for a new one however I just want the problem solved.

Great company from start to finish. Kurtis was professional, on time and very personable. His work was clean and outstanding. We are enjoying our new AC!

I came to Cool Bear through Home Depot. I set up the consultation in the store, and got a confirmation call within a few hours, and got 2 more as well. Fernando arrived (he came early, called ahead to make sure it was OK) and took a look at everything. He gave me a price that was competitive with the others I had, so I accepted the proposal. They were able to install the very next day. They said between 8:00-10:00, and I saw the truck pull up at 7:45, but Vicks waited until 8:00 to knock on my door. Everything from the installation of the interior air handler to hoisting the condenser unit onto the roof with a crane seemed to go smoothly. The only small glitch was that the original unit I had ordered didn't quite fit in the closet, but Vicks had a workaround and it didn't delay anything, and so far everything is in working order. I'm hoping this great service continues throughout the life of the system!
