We used this company for a inspection/estimate. $69.95 late March 23.
Do not let Michael KERTESZ into your home, he is only interested in selling you a new system.
All he did was intentionally lie about the existing system in our home to try achieve the sale of a new system, the cheapest option being more then $7000.
After his visit we contacted another a/c expert and he repaired our system for just under $500 including completely refilling the system with freon.
I spoke with Kat Elias at Air America and she kindly arranged the refund of the $69.95. fee.
My question is - how many people have listened to Michael KERTESZ in the past and had their a/c systems replaced unnecessarily?
Also - are there any more technicians working at Air America doing the exact same thing?
Kat Elias did say that Michael KERTESZ had been spoken to previously re client issues and she also said that if this is the third time that he would no longer continue to work at this company.
It would not be my intention that someone would loose their employment however in this instance I believe it is justified.
Also if Air America is rewarding the technicians for selling a/c systems to their clients (as suggested by other rewiewers) isn’t this motivation for them to perhaps prioritize the sale of these systems instead of maintaining and repairing them at a vastly lower cost to the
mostly unsuspecting general public.

Kat Elais contacted me after I posted this review, she said she was disappointed that I had only rated 1 star, she also seemed to believe that my concern is the $69.95 that was previously refunded to me.
My concern is that there are probably clients out there who have had new systems installed unnecessarily, and at great cost to them - not realizing that they have paid for systems that were just not needed.
She says that her goal is to make things right!
Also that she is "sharing my feedback with the entire Management Team".
She also said that Michael KERTESZ is a seasoned member at Air America.
Be very careful if you decide to use this company.
We were told that the coil in our apartment was leaking in many places and the entire system needed replacing. The coil wasn't leaking at all....
The unit on the roof had a leak which we had repaired and the system refilled for less then $500 and it has been working perfectly since.
So no 5 star review for you Kat Elias - your company nearly cost us $7000, and for no good reason at all.
I won't look forward to hearing from the management team.

Technician seemed very knowledgeable and professional. He presented me with several options: repair my a/c unit for $1100.00 ( 1 yr warranty) or install a new unit for $7000.00 I’ll definitely be getting estimates from other businesses.
