    Our service tech Tan was very professional, throughly explained everything in detail, and fixed our clogged HVAC unit quickly. Highly recommend Magnolia as they were out in less than 24 hrs after our initial call, Tan was fantastic and made the whole process very simple, 5 stars!

    My experience with Magnolia was abysmal. I called Magnolia on a Thursday asking them for the first available appointment because my air conditioner was dripping a lot of water every time it turned on. They said the first time available is that Sunday... fine, I get it’s the busy season. Sunday comes along and the technician’s equipment, a wet vac, isn’t working and says he will have to come back when it is working. He notes that the cause of the problem is likely the condensate line and that he will call to schedule the new appointment. Days go by and I don’t hear back from him or anyone at Magnolia so I called again. It is now Wednesday, 6 days since my first call. Miraculously, they say he can come that day! I stay home that day and wait for his call but it never comes. Late that evening I get a call from the tech saying he can’t come that day but he’ll be there Friday morning. He arrives on friday morning with his wet vac and nothing else and vacuums out the condensation pan and then asks for paper towels - I figure he’s cleaning up some of the splashed water that got on the walls and floor. Then he says something along the lines of “if the problem persists, we will need to rebuild the condensate line” and hands me his card reader to pay the bill. $189 dispatch fee and $235 for vacuuming out the pan. I was shocked. Had I known he was just going to vacuum out the pan for $235 and not actually fix the problem, I would have spent the $200 at Home Depot to buy my own wet vac. Unsurprisingly, the drip started back up within the day but was coming from a different spot now. I followed up directly with him and then with the dispatch team. I asked for them to apply the money I already paid to actually repairing it... a full week later and I still have not heard back. I’ve never felt like anyone has ever taken advantage of me so aggressively before. $424 is no small amount of money, especially considering the time I needed to put into this for negative results. Not to mention that when I hired a more competent company to clear the condensate line, they found the paper towels I handed the Magnolia tech shoved into the pan which caused the leak to move and damage even more drywall. I’m still waiting for my refund. Make this right, Magnolia.

    Whew, we have to talk about Derrick.

    Washington Gas came to my house after a report of a gas leak. They promptly shut off the gas, pointed out where the leak was coming form and left. This was when I called Magnolia Plumbing to fix the leak and hopefully get my gas turned back on. Enter Derrick, stage left. He showed up right on time and walked me through each step he took on site. However, since my gas meter is actually inside the home vs an external meter, he realized that 1.) Washington Gas might not have been able to point out the correct location of the leak. 2.) *IF* there was a leak, the location of the gas pipe to the air duct was too tight to fix and would result in having to create a new piping system. 3.) That the area Washington Gas reported the leak could have been coming from...would actually have been the responsibility of Washington Gas since it wasn't on the house line.

    He suggested that I confirm with Washington Gas first before spending any additional money (rerouting of piping would have been up to $5,000).

    Sure enough, Washington Gas came out the next day, determined there never was a leak and that yes-- If the leak had been in the original location they pointed out, it would have been the responsibility of Washington Gas to repair.

    Edit: Im just adding that the company has contacted me to correct the situation, which was an honest, inconvenient mistake. Giving them an extra star for accountability.

    My AC broke on July 4 when everywhere was closed. I called a few places the following morning before calling Magnolia but couldn't get a technician out that day. I told them what was happening and gave them my address along with my other information. I have an appointment window with a technician from 2-4 that day, awesome. Around 3:30, I get a call from the tech saying it's probably going to rain and that he won't be able to effectively work on the outdoor unit, his recommendation is that we schedule first thing in the morning. He has to call back to the office to coordinate an appointment for tomorrow, and tells me he'll call back in 10 mins. 20 minutes later, the office calls me asking why the appointment was cancelled, I explain and they put me on hold. A few minutes later they tell me I'm out of the service area and that they have to cancel the appointment entirely. Now my 9 month pregnant wife and I get to call another company and go on their waiting list. Yay.

    I just watched a Magnolia truck, number 551, refuse to stop for a couple kids in a crosswalk and almost run them over. The truck went around me after I stopped for the kids. This was 3/2/23 just before 4pm.

    Yesterday I called Magnolia and scheduled an appt for a quote to replace my upstairs hvac system that stopped working 3 weeks ago but since I was diagnosed with covid that very same week, I just started to get quotes now that I felt it was safe for people to come to my home. Magnolia offered me today 2-4 which I accepted. This morning at 7:15am a rep called me and asked if I wanted an earlier appt because they had some cancelations. They offered 8am-10am (which I declined) along with a few more time slots. I did move from my original time of 2-4 to 1-3. At 9:30am Sam Jr contacted me via text and said he was the comfort specialist coming to my home and he asked if he could come in the next 40 minutes. I responded No since I was tied up working. I texted if he could send a quote looking at the quotes I got from other companies this week. He said not without a visit. That's understandable. I then went back to work. At 12:55pm, I view my phone to see if Sam Jr. sent an eta. Instead I see a text from him at 10:12am that read "Did you want us to make a site visit or cancel the visit"? I responded and stated that yes I was expecting him as scheduled, 1-3. He then texted and said he is now in Rockville and asked if I wanted to pick a time next week. WAIT! What?! At the end of the day, I scheduled 1-3 per the scheduling people at Magnolia. Just because Sam Jr. requested to come 3 hours earlier, DOES NOT CANCEL MY 1-3 APPT TIME. Sam Jr and Magnolia stood me up, and collectively lost my business and possibly even more revenue from other would-be customers who read this review.

    The customer service at this company is atrocious. I have been rescheduled and cancelled on multiple times after providing a down payment and being repeatedly assured that service would be performed during the scheduled appointment.

    I will update this review if they ever actually fix the air conditioning but so far we are going on week 5...

    Update: The AC has been fixed but at double the cost that was estimated based on the initial visit. While the technician was kind and apologetic, I will be looking elsewhere in the future.

    Only partially fixed leaking faucet. Only hot water runs.
    On the other hand. Check up of air.conditioning was terrific
