Called customer service to request an estimate to install a split system . I was told they could be here the next day between 11-1. The next day I received a call at 1230 from the estimator. I was told that he wasn’t coming at all on that day . According to him he was just looking over the e-mails he was sent from customer service . He made it sound like customer service dropped the ball and didn’t inform in time to schedule me for an estimate. Not sure who didn’t do the right thing the estimator or customer service. I won’t call again to schedule. I don’t recommend this business.
I worked with Dion, who located and repaired a leak in a corroded pipe that turned out to be behind our kitchen backsplash. Dion was great — he was very professional; he explained clearly the costs and implications of different findings and repairs; he was patient with me during a time of stress; and he was generally just kind and, as far as I can tell, great at his job. I will definitely call Dion again for future plumbing issues.
I've used Magnolia for a number of years. Only gripe is that they are incredibley pricey. But you get what you pay for. That's why I continue to call them. They always do the job well and are very responsive.
I've used Magnolia for a few years now and really enjoy their full service of repair and maintenance. They come twice a year to check my (admittedly ancient) HVAC unit to keep it humming as long as possible, and provide free plumbing inspections on the reg. Naturally, these offerings come with recommendations, but they price out the parts and labor, walk you through it, and are honest about what can wait and what cannot. Appointments are easy to make online or by phone and they are very responsive and can come usually within a few days if not a shorter time period when it's emergent. They're not the cheapest in the area, but I will be using them for many years to come due to their professional and honest service.
The Worst! 4 hours late. Came out and banged around on my furnace for 20 minutes. Said it needed to be taken apart and acid washed for $1600. Couldn’t do work that trip and had me schedule a return appointment the next day. I stupidly paid towards the next visit. Thermostat read 59 next morning, so I called and scheduled someone. He came, rinsed the filter off and it worked fine. Magnolia refused me any refund from my previous payment. Do not use them. They are a rip off.
I was scheduled for an appointment to have a tech come and look at my AC. First the tech was scheduled for 12 then they rescheduled for a tech to come out between 3 and 5. The tech did not show up until after 5. The worse part is they said they had to come back out the next day because he did not have a particular tool. What tech for AC unit don’t have the correct tool to complete a job. Then the following day absolutely no one showed up at all. My fiancé called them and they said they could not get anyone out to me until Saturday. In acceptable. I then called back and they told me they was going to have a on call tech reach out to me and still no call and my AC is still not working. If you use the make sure it’s not 90 degrees outside. Because they do not show up or call.
The customer service at this company is atrocious. I have been rescheduled and cancelled on multiple times after providing a down payment and being repeatedly assured that service would be performed during the scheduled appointment.
I will update this review if they ever actually fix the air conditioning but so far we are going on week 5...
My building recommended a different company for HVAC work and it was not a good experience. Hoping to make things better, I read the on-line reviews for Magnolia, submitted a request, and every interaction was fantastic. Magnolia immediately responded to my e-mail, provided courteous phone calls about the status of my appointment, and corrected the problems caused by the other company. I wish I had called Magnolia first, and I plan to do so in the future. I would like to thank the Magnolia technicians who promptly visited my home and provided such high-quality service. The first Magnolia technicians were honest and felt that other specialists in their company could more accurately solve my HVAC problem. Those same technicians made the follow-up appointment for me immediately. When Saeid Fotouri arrived with his assistant, he listened to me, provided a diagnosis, and then clearly explained all of my options. Problem solved. Thank you! I highly recommend Magnolia for your plumbing and HVAC needs.
