Dowd Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning

Scott came out to me on a Sunday morning to look at my AC unit. I knew I needed a new system as the one I have is 25 years old. Scott sat down with me to go over the options both with the system to choose and the ways to pay - all with no pressure and good information. They have a zero interest financing option right now which was incredible and offered a 5% discount if you pay in full. I also liked that they have been around as a company for a long time and have marked trucks - seems trivial, but there are a lot of shady businesses out there. I left a message for Scott later that day with my decision to get a new unit and he was back out with the proposal on Tuesday. The unit was in by 5pm on Friday, so less than a week total turnaround which I could not believe - especially during a heatwave. Scott told me that his team have been working late to make sure they see customers as soon as possible and that their answering service is always ready to take a message. The two guys that did the installation were great. They cleaned up well and even went into my attic to open up all my ducts which I have not been able to figure out myself since buying the home a year ago. My neighbor got a new unit from Dowd previously and they told me that their experience was also great and that they have been very happy with their unit since its installation. Installation comes with 1 year maintenance and is affordable for maintenance once that free year is over. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent company. The employees are all wonderful. I called snd emailed several places and Dowd was the only company to ever reply back to me. I scheduled an appointment with Scott from Dowd and could not have been more happy to have Dowd replace my heating and cooling. The 2 gentleman that installed the heating and cooling system could not be ant better and wee excellent. I had to have my programable thermostat replaced and he was wonderful bi am so glad that I have Dowd. Thank you

My electronic air filter needed to be replaced. I spoke with Bob on the phone and Dowd sent John to do the replacement.
John was an experienced technician; he was knowledgeableand professional. John called before coming to pinpoint his arrival time - I appreciate that courtesy!
John removed all packing material.

Dowd Mechanical came out same day as my service request and diagnosed the issue within an hour. The tech offered advice on how to keep our heating system running efficiently by keeping all vents open and with changing filters more often. Very informative and our unit works perfectly now. Very pleased. Dowd 100% reliable.

Very professional organization. Timely with their appointments, knowledgeable and communicative. They installed a new HVAC system for us 4 years ago and have been servicing them each year since. I then had them replace our hot water heater 2 years ago. Again, great service. I highly recommend DOWD Mechanical for their fair prices, good value and professional approach.

Finally had to make the decision to trash the old systems and bring in the new. I had several mechanical companies come out to assess our situation, discuss options, including getting their take on high efficiency units and whether or not they were right for us. Dowd set themselves apart from the rest. They were honest, provided a fair quote, and I felt comfortable selecting Dowd to do the work. Their office staff was very diligent in returning calls and providing additional information when I requested it. The installation took 3 days due to having 2 separate full systems. The installation team was very personable, took time to answer questions and made sure I fully understood the system and the electronic thermostats. The quality of work looks very good and the cleanup after the job is exactly what you would expect. I would not hesitate in recommending Dowd.

Prompt, professional, friendly, accommodating, honest. To be more specific, during a routine maintenance of the furnace in our recently purchased home, they spotted a potentially dangerous safety issue that would require us to not minimally use our furnace until was replaced. They moved quickly to get it replaced to minimize the amount of time during December that we went without heat. They also took the time to educate us about both our old and new systems. Great experience all around, would and will happily use them again.

Service was great. They were on time and professional. I had them perform the annual PM on my oil boiler for my base board heat. I told the technician( Terence) that I had some issues with keeping my oil line primed. He investigated, found and repaired some cracked gaskets that appear to have been the issue. My boiler has been running great ever since. Would use them again

When I called to setup service for maintenance they had dates sooner then everyone else. I was able to got my Air conditioner serviced, Mike came back out yesterday to service my heater. I spoke to him while he was here for the air conditioner I told him the problem I was having with my heater. He was very knowledgeable and found the problem. I have had 4 other people out here over the last 4 years to try and figure it out.

He will be back in a week or so to do the repairs. I was expecting it to be very high, seeing the unit has given up turning on all together. He called me within a few hour with a price quote and I was very happy with the cost of the repairs.

I am so happy I decide to do the maintenance plan for both units. I will be sticking with this company and Mike.

From the first call till now I was able to get everything handled in a timely manor. VERY happy with this company.
