I experienced this company for the 1st time when I bought my home and required a new AC/ Heat system 15 years ago. As the years passed through regular maintenance, you develop a friendship with them and know everyone on a 1st name basis.
Recently I had a small repair, last minute and the OWNER Joe came out to my home and not only did he fix the problem, we shared a cup of coffee and he didn't charge me a dime. In my humble opinion, family owned businesses these days are the only way to go and the customer service which is NON EXISTENT anymore, but not with Dowds. They go up and beyond any expectations, clean, respectful, and not only do you feel a comfortable 8friendship, they become family!!

This is an update on my review from a year ago. If I was able to go above a 5 star review I would. Mike McCarty has been helping us with our HVAC issues from the first time we called DOWD and has been the most caring and professional individual we have worked with. Today we had a new system installed. Dimitri and Mike (not McCarty) installed the system and displayed the epitome of professionalism. They worked diligently from 8:50 am to 7:30 pm to ensure everything was done CORRECTLY! This company should take pride in hiring the quality professionals that they do. If you are in need of anything HVAC related do not hesitate to call DOWD. They are definitely the best in the area and we can’t thank them enough for everything.

Contacted Dowd Mechanical when my AC busted and they were here the next day. Terence walked me through everything and was very informative. The next week I had my AC replaced and had a complimentary service maintenance the next year. Matt was also extremely helpful. 10/10 rating will use again for dryer vent cleaning. Extremely thankful for their helpfulness and service.

This is the second home I have had Dowd's install a new furnace and air conditioner. I couldn't be more happy with the service and installation.

The customer service was excellent from beginning to end. The initial tech, Scott, evaluated my old broken system with the intent to repair, demonstrated where the issues were, and recommended several options on how to proceed.

We decided to have a new system installed.

Scott guided us thru the different options available, explained the financing options, and scheduled the installation quickly and efficiently. He was even able to accommodate the request for the installation of a 4" filter housing (which I would highly recommend).

On install day, Rachid & Terence were prompt and professional and got to work on removing the old system and installing the new one. In the tight quarters of the mechanical room, Rachid really went the extra mile to install the 4" filter housing while maintaining access to the adjacent water heater. Terence was especially helpful with the setup of the WiFi controlled thermostat and explained and demonstrated all the features.

At the end of the install they put special effort in to cleaning and restoring the area, both indoor and outdoor, to better than its original state.

We purchased our HVAC system from Dowd in September 2019. Scott explained everything, and the installation was excellent. Since the installation, we have annual maintenance visits scheduled in the Spring for the AC, and the Fall for the Heat. Dowd has great customer service, both in the office, as well as the technicians. Matt was recently here for the Spring AC check up, he explained everything, and made sure the system is operating optimally. Thanks to the Dowd team for such great customer service!

Our regular HVAC go-to didn't seem to have the time for us so we started googling around and landed on Dowd. Ever so glad we did! Scott scheduled us right away for an estimate and was able to get quality equipment quickly, even in this time of supply chain issues. Professional print out straight from his well marked, vinyl-wrapped truck with good/better/best pricing. A follow up phone call from the office and quick scheduling. Installers did both the heater and the a/c, were kind and professional. Most importantly, they communicated well with me since I was not on the property that day. Financing option was set up quickly and easily online and I didn't feel like i was treated any differently because of using the financing option. Equipment installed tight and condensed, job site left clean and well marked.
