Mike and his guys were very professional. They keep a very neat and tidy work space. They took the time to explain the process to me to make sure I understood everything that they were doing. I would definitely recommend Dowd to anyone that needs HVAC work done to their house.

Will definitely use Dowd again. They were able to come out to clean my heater within 2 days of calling and were within the time frame they provided. Scott was polite and efficient and gave his honest opinion of what to do with my aging heater. Received a follow-up courtesy call the next to make sure everything went okay. Diana gave me more advice about purchasing a new heater and when the best time to do it is to save money. I recommend them to anyone in the area.

It was time to bite the bullet and invest in a new heating and air conditioning system as well as a new hot water heater. We had used Dowd for minor repairs before and were very pleased with them so we asked them for an estimate. They gave us a great deal and were able to fit us in within a week. The weather on the day of our installation was miserable....rained all day. Scott and Terrence not only did a great job with the installation, they were a pleasure to have around. Nice guys with great senses of humor and not one complaint about being in and out of the rain. Would definitely recommend them.

I've been using them for many years. Why you may ask? It's because I've found them to be HONEST & TRUTHFUL. Their WORKMANSHIP is OUTSTANDING. I found that any recommendations that they give me are the BEST you could ask for. All the Dowd's employees do whatever is necessary to please the customer. If you want peace of mind, then contact them. You will be glad that you did in the end. :-) I've never had any problems with them in all the years I've use them. You won't be sorry I assure you.

I called Dowd Mechanical as a "close" provider a number of years ago for a furnace failure in the middle of a snow storm. Rapid service and transparent shared decision making.

Followed that with a split system augment for the second floor which was impossible to cool. Great guys, efficient work, WONDERFUL UNIT, and have had two Programmed Maintenance visits so far.

Well, the main heating plant was aging, I opted to replace prior to extreme end of life. Scott provided balanced information without pressure, and a Goodman unit was selected. Demitri and Matt (the installers) were courteous, efficient, pleasant, and cleaned up after the work,

I was in market for a complete new HVAC system - new ductwork and unit - and tried to source locally but experienced no shows/no call back. Within 24 hrs of filling out an online form, I was contacted and had an estimator out the following day. He (Scott) explained the options, and there were many, with clarity and provided pricing outlines. We went with them and can't be happier with the service provided by Matt and Mike, the pride they take in their work, and mostly my beautifully cooled and heated home. Great guys, incredible custom work. Highly recommend.

New HVAC about two years ago, no problems until recently. The AC unit locked up because of a manufacturer issue. Dowd came out next morning and fixed the issue. Very good and responsive service.

Our A/C system stopped working suddenly. Called Dowd at 630pm on one of the hottest days of the summer. Left a message with the service request operator. Had a phone call back within 20 minutes. Was told a technician would be out in an hour or so. Within a hour the technician was at my house. He went over my system. Did a full detailed diagnostic check explaining everything he was doing step by step and what the readings and results meant. Diagnosed it as a bad capacitor and said he had one on the truck to fix it. After replacing the capacitor he double checked all the electrical readings to make sure there was no further problem that would damage the new part. Absolutely the best service experience I have had with a contractor. I would highly recommend if you need service for your HVAC system call Dowd. You will not be disappointed.
