Joe from Multnomah Heating Inc. was incredible.
His professionalism, promptness, and technical expertise sets his company apart from the competition. He quickly and methodically diagnosed and repaired the problem with our furnace on the spot, where another company failed.
Additionally, Joe stuck around and thoroughly tested the furnace to ensure the repair was complete and resolved the issue (uncharacteristic with previous repair company). I will not hesitate to call them with any future HVAC needs.

My husband and I bought our house last summer and it came with a year of insurance for all of our appliances. We started to experience some problems with our air conditioner, it wasn’t blowing cold air, but we could hear and see that it was on and running. So I called the insurance company and they connected me to Multnomah Heating, Inc. and boy am I glad they did! It was such a positive experience! They called me well under the 24 hour mark the insurance company gave me and the gal who I spoke with was super friendly and gave me a wide variety of times to choose from. The technition, Jeremy, showed up right at 2 (yay!) and got right to work. He was really friendly and explained things to me if I had any questions. He also humored my young dog who insisted on following him around while he worked. Turns out it wasn’t the air conditioner but the fan in the heat pump, it wasn’t working. So from there everything froze, how crazy! Jeremy fixed the fan, melted the ice and we now have cool air coming from our vents! I will definitely recommended these fine folks to anyone with issues.

Came to do a 22 point inspection. Jeremy spent 20 minutes on unit, told us the heat exchanger was cracked and he could not do the inspection. Charged us the $150 anyway. Rip off, so we went elsewhere to purchase the new furnace and will not use Multnomah again.the least he could have done would have been to charge us a lower diagnostic fee, then we may have worked with them for the needed replacement. Unprofessional and shortsighted.

Joe did an awesome job on servicing both our heating and air conditioning systems! He was prompt, professional, very thorough and meticulous! He took the time to walk us through the whole process. We would highly recommend Multnomah heating! Thanks Joe!!

We have been doing business with Multnomah Heating for 30 years this month. Joe's father built our system when we built the house in 1990. They have installed updated equipment, done warranty work and installed a new system next door at our daughter's home. They have always done excellent work, at a fair price, and they are honorable people. I highly recommend them and wouldn't think of doing business with anyone else.

The technician arrived, zipped around to the AC unit, immediately determined it was a bad capacitor and replaced it. BOOM! Here and gone in less than 5 minutes and our AC is working again.

Never work with this company!!! I had a furnace replaced and a return air duct replaced. The service person installed the new furnace filter access port incorrectly so a filter cannot fit into the vent (or replaced). The natural gas pipe is blocking a portion of the access panel for the (intended) new filter access panel so a new filter cannot be inserted. With the furnace and vents replaced, the contractor built a new filter access panel that does not work. When installed, the contractor took a furnace filter from his van, bent it, broke it, and forced the filter into the vent. When I opened the vent to replace the filter several months later, I saw that the broken filter fell through the vent and that the air in my home had not been filtered in months! There is noticeably a ton of dust in my home. I saw the contractor take a filter from his van on the day of the service. By examining the filter still in the vent, it is obvious that the contractor bent, broke and forced the filter into the vent. I have not been able to insert a new air filter into my vent because the access panel was installed incorrectly. A new filter does not fit.
I have been trying to contact Multnomah Heating for two months trying to get this resolved. I’ve left at least 14 messages over the last two months. It has been a month since I spoke to a person over the phone, and she said the contractor call me the same day. That did not happen. A few weeks before that, I talked with someone over the phone and she said the contractor would call me the same day. That did not happen. A few weeks ago, I noticed that my cell phone now goes straight to voicemail, like it has been blocked. When I call from my work phone, the phone rings, and then goes to voicemail. Nobody will call me back to resolve this issue. I tried an online service request and tried emailing them.
Proper air filtration in a home is a very important health concern, and this health concern has been completely ignored in this service and by this company.

Had a Nest thermostat installed. Joe was friendly and extremely knowledgeable! He was in and out in under an hour.
Will use this company for all my HVAC needs going forward.
