We first dealt with Dave, the owner of CZ, when our A/C stopped the day we got back from vacation. Due to his experience in the industry he had stocked up on a common part that fails with the first hot weather. We called in the morning, that afternoon we were back in business.

Our furnace decided to shut down 12/23/2022, the day of the ice storm. No one was on the roads, it was Tuesday before someone (else) could get to our house. They provided good service, the furnace came back to life on its own, but at 28 years old it was time to be replaced. The bid from the other guys seemed high. So we hunted Dave up again.

Not only was hid bid $10,000+ less, he sat with us answering all of our questions. We shopped no further and went with Comfort Zone. They arrived at the appointed day, a bit early, and were done well inside the quoted time frame. And exactly as quoted for the cost. So, yes they covered the basics, they met and exceeded every expectation we had.

As consumers it is so hard to navigate the first time (for us) to make this high dollar purchase. Getting someone who dealt fairly with us, and delivered a spot on result that left zero room for complaint, is an exceptional find. We heartily recommend Dave and Comfort Zone so that you too can have this experience.

David is great. Really saved us with our furnace right before an ice storm hit. We’ve had them out in the past to install our AC unit as well, and for tune ups. Very fair, very responsive and professional.

David (the owner) and his team are the best. I called David to discuss adding air conditioning to my home in Troutdale, OR. We had a brief discussion which resulted with him showing up at the house within about an hour and half. Great dialog and discussion resulting in a plan and one week and one day later the team rolled in at around 7:15 am. They were done around 2 pm. That included installing an outdoor air conditioner and a new furnace (not the water heater in the picture below).
Excellent work, friendly, courteous very respectful of our needs.
Rarely has a rather large event in my life of this kind ever gone so smoothly! Obviously a very well run and managed business.

Our AC died the night before the hottest day ever in the Portland area. I called several services the next day knowing we had friends that lost AC too and wouldn't likely be able to get repair person in that day. The few businesses that did call back, half did not even bother to call back were booked out two to three weeks. The following day after the record temp Comfort squeezed us in early morning as they had a tech living near us in Sandy. This time was ripe for opportunity for AC services to gouge and I checked the estimated cost for the repair I thought was needed on Angie's list. Angie's list wanted over $800 as a set upon price for this repair which was the capacitors. The tech came out finished the work within half an hour replacing two capacitors for about $250! I will go back to Comfort Zone for all my heating and air conditioning needs. They won my business.

As a custom home builder, Comfort Zone is my HVAC contractor of choice- intelligent, meticulous, and reliable. They are the full package, and they are your smart choice. I built my own personal home twenty years ago, of course Comfort Zone installed my HVAC at that time. We just recently replaced that original system that has kept my family comfortable as we took it for granted- as one should. David was very prompt with returning my call, stoping by for a quote, and installing a heater in my garage. He laid out options for how and where to install the heater. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

They installed my heat pump and furnace about 6 years ago and the service was excellent then, but they are also incredible with any service problems and repairs. They came out so quickly at fixed everything and were incredibly helpful and insightful. A+++

Worked with Dave, the owner I think to get a new heat pump. He was very professional and set us up with a pump that matched out furnace unit. Not hard to work with at all.

Our electricity service failed and caused surging throughout the house one strange day (which was repaired quickly by the company who supplies and we awoke the following morning with a kaput furnace (fried fan motor) and a very chilly house.
Before making coffee...we called Comfort Zone Heating & Air Conditioning (CZH&AC) and spoke with the owner, David. (D) (They'd installed our complete system, along with adding an APCO air-scrubber so we knew we were destined for great service.)
Long story made short, we had a new fan motor and were warm again...before we finished our coffee. Erick was our installer and he was fantastic. I wish every business we've ever worked with had the same customer care that D's has, at CZH&AC. They're so SERIOUSLY the best customer care I've ever seen--I can't even smile. They are THAT seriously the best.
