John was absolutely amazing. I had another team in to do the HVAC installation and when they needed help, John was called in to assist. He came in and worked long hours despite having his foot in a therapy boot due to an injury. He went up and down my crawlspace and was at my house long hours to get the job done. He was professional and prepared, and even changed the design of my crawlspace layout (including cleaning it) to make the air handler installation and the duct work make more sense for the space down there.

Overall, 10/10, would recommend.

So incredibly happy to finally have A/C… and it is all thanks to John at Mt. Hood Heating Cooling & Refrigeration!!! The most recent heatwave was unbearable. We had family staying with us from Arizona, and they could hardly take the heat in our house. The extremely high temperatures combined with constant sun throughout the day, and skylights, our home was OVER 100 degrees WITH window A/C units. It was awful! I decided to reach out to John at Mt. Hood Heating Cooling & Refrigeration during the heatwave. I figured he would be overwhelmed with clients. To my surprise, he got back to me right away. Even came out to my house that week to provide an estimate. The estimate was far below what we were expecting, and we decided to go forward as soon as possible. We scheduled the install, which I was so grateful for his flexibility on the scheduling, working with me and my crazy schedule. He arrived on time for the install, and everything went great! John is very polite, respectful, and very easy to work with. Everything was thoroughly cleaned up after the job was complete (and my standards are high in this department). Just so impressed with the entire experience. And so happy to come home to a cool 70 degrees every day!

I would 110% recommend John and Mt. Hood Heating Cooling & Ref., he and his team went above and beyond to deliver what we asked for. With our over 100 year old house, the job ended up being more complicated then anticipated but John reassessed and was still able to complete a quality job in a timely manner, the way we wanted it. They were communicative, kind, and respectful throughout the whole process.

I can't say enough good things about working with Jon and Mt. Hood Heating and Cooling. We were having all sorts of gas furnace issues and both times we called him he found a way to fit us in quickly and got the problem diagnoised and fixed right away. Not only that but he called the next day to check in and make sure the furnace was still performing as expected from the fix! We will be using him for all our HVAC needs.

I saw a van for MtHood Heating and Cooling drive through the LaGrande Safeway parking lot, almost hit my vehicle and then they continued around and almost hit me and another pedestrian in the crosswalk! I have the plate number of this van of OR 697 CVM on December 2nd around 430pm - I believe there were two males in the van and it was towing a small trailer. They drove far too fast in a parking lot and it was very dangerous and reckless.

Mt.Hood's Heating/Cooling Employees need to be more careful, held accountable for their actions, and should be thankful a Sheriff wasn't there to see what they did in that parking lot at the time. Someone could have been seriously injured but, thankfully, was not.

I would not be able to ever recommend a business whose employees put other's lives at risk.

Looking at John the repairman on the roof in 112 degree heat made me cringe. I felt guilty for complaining about working in 85+ in my clinic. He did a tough job in a very timely way. Good natured to boot.

Nice people! Very professional; gets the job done, in a timely matter. Most important, is they clean up after their work is finished! The fact that their name implies, far, east county, means, nah dad! Have van will travel!

This company is amazing. John is very nice and let’s you know exactly what is going on. No guessing. I recommend him to anyone who needs hearing and cooling service. This is our go to guy from now.
