Hetter Heating & Cooling

Hetter and its employees are wonderful - highly recommended! We had our furnace go out on Tuesday evening. We called Hetter and they could have come out that evening, but the helpful guy on the phone said that if the issue was what the flashing LEDs on the nonfunctioning furnace said it was, a part would need to be ordered, so we might as well wait and only pay for a normal, daytime call-out. First example of them having the customer's value at heart.

The next morning the repair guy came out and said, yep, you'll need to order a part. Then we got a call from the office, letting us know, unfortunately, that that particular part had been on backorder nationwide for more than a year, and even if we could get it would probably cost up to half the cost of a new furnace. Second example of not giving customers the run-around, of being upfront about everything.

So we opted to have a sales person come out and let us know our options. Walt was scheduled to come out at 3 pm, and he pulled up in front of the house at 3 pm on the nose. He looked at the existing setup and made a recommendation. In the interim, we had done research into the furnaces Hetter offers, and had highlighted a "top of the middle range" Tempstar option that we thought looked good. That was exactly what Walt suggested - yet another example of Hetter having the customer's value at heart, rather than trying to push you into the most expensive/fancy option.

This morning (Thursday), Scott and Dayton arrived exactly on schedule and set to work. They were both extremely professional and efficient, answering any questions I had clearly and honestly. There was a hiccup with the thermostat installation - the thermostat we had chosen wouldn't work as standard with our existing AC system. Scott was very straightforward in laying out the options... and then managed to run some cable to get the thermostat working after all! Start to finish, including sorting out the issue with the thermostat and rerouting some piping and stuff in the basement, it took them about five and a half hours, which seems very good going to us.

In short, Scott, Dayton, Walt, and everyone we worked with at Hetter deeply impressed us with their responsiveness, honesty, lack of up-selling, and willingness and ability to problem-solve. We will absolutely be using Hetter in the future, and encourage everyone else to use them, too.

We used Hetter Heat to install our furnace in Westerville, and to provide semi-annual maintenance checks. I continue to use them to check my furnace in Grove City. Rick Hoffman was prompt and professional, arrived on time, and was very courteous. I recommend Hetter to anyone.

Let me start with the names Kevin (Comfort Specialist), Rick & Zac (Professional Trane Equipment Installers). Kevin from the start took my phone call with me just inquiring about a new furnace & ac unit. He explained everything in great detail and even brought up his personal experiences. He made me feel very comfortable with just talking and not questioning me about visiting in person for a quote. This is what made me ask for an in person visit for a quote. Kevin also stop by to check and see how things were going during the install and provided me with a copy of the warranty that he registered. Rick & Zac showed up very promptly and started to work right away. They put down floor mats & covering to keep from damaging the floor and cleaned up very nicely upon completion. They ran into a couple issues due to previous owner work but they figured it out and made the adjustments. They even giggled with my kids for a quick sec. My wife and I are truly happy that we chose Hetter Heating & Cooling for our install. I recommend them 100%, especially for piece of mind. Thank you for being such a great company and providing overall outstanding customer service!

I would definitely recommend this company to anyone seeking HVAC work that needs done. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and timely! Walt came out same day to quote a new HVAC system as ours had finally quit. He was very thorough and transparent with pricing and the systems he recommended. Rick, Zach, and Dayton, then came out and did a stellar job the same week, installing both a new A/C unit and Furnace in just one day! The entire team was fantastic to work with from start to finish.

Will be using them in the future, for sure!

Hetter Heating and Cooling (Michael and Brian Jr.) did an amazing job installing a new HVAC system (high efficiency furnace and AC) for me. They were polite and conscientious (putting down mats to keep floors clean and making sure my pets stayed inside). Due to some unforeseen challenges, the install ended up being a 2 day job but Mike and Brian worked late to ensure I had heat (AC was completed on day 2). They answered all my questions and reviewed the system with me so that I understood how it worked and basic maintenance. They definitely take pride in their work and it shows. Great team to work with!

Sales and install teams we're very professional and knowledgeable. The answered all of my questions and concerns. Scott, Brian, and Dayton we're the installer's and did a great job with the installation and clean up. I would recommend them to everyone!!

Tim came by for the annual furnace inspection. Hetter did a great job installing a new system in 2021, but I had a few questions about how to get optimum performance. Tim listened patiently to all my questions, and then gave professional and knowledgeable answers. I very much appreciated his expertise.

Zac and Donzel did a fantastic job with our install. They were professional and quick and did a great job getting us up and running. The only frustration I had was that the sales rep who came out initially told us that we would be getting a smart thermostat, which was not correct.

Two weeks ago, One of their trucks cut me off and then brake checked me on Kenny road. Turns out it was heading to their office on Kenny road. Then one day last week, I was turning left off of Godown Road onto Kenny Road. When a lady in a white SUV cut me off. I had to slam on my brakes to keep from hitting her. She had a yield and ignored it. When I blew my horn she flicked me off just as she was pulling into Hetter Heating & Cooling for work. If this is a sign of their employees and how they act. Then I will definitely not recommend this company to anybody, because who knows how they're going to act in your home around you and your family.

We have had Hetter for many years and we could not have picked a better company to handle our Heating and Cooling needs. Today we had the privilege of meeting Tech Tim. To say we were impressed with him is an understatement! So professional and such a great person!! When arriving he was greeting us at the door with a smile! He did our fall maintenance for us and gave us some pointers on how to make our system run more efficiently!! Hetter should be proud to have Tim representing their company!
