We had an issue with the air conditioning in our home. I contacted Alexander Heating and Air Conditioning because they had so many wonderful customer reviews. I wasn't disappointed. They came out promptly and the tech quickly diagnosed and repaired our issue. I also appreciated how reasonable their rates were and that the diagnostic charge is applied toward the cost of any service rendered. Alexander Heating and Air Conditioning is our HVAC service vendor of choice and I highly-recommend them.

I entered into a service contract with Alexander Services because they had done some repair work on my old home and had excellent reviews. My wife and I bought a new construction home in 2018 With a brand new carrier dual HVAC system. During their second or third maintenance visit the tech discovered mold growing on the coil in our crawlspace furnace. He said that this could be caused by a variety of things one of which being the pressure not being sick in the tanks in the compressor. On the first service call the tech even notated that the pressure was off but nothing was said Said to me about it at the time. On the third service visit the tech discovered the growth on the coil.

Needless to say we were not happy considering it was a new system and we had a service plan to avoid this kind of thing. ARS installed the unit when the home was built. Recently we discovered that the motor on the compressor for the downstairs unit was wearing out. We had to pay to replace the compressor which was covered under warranty, but the labor was over $400. We’ve been happy with Alexander’s responsiveness and knowledge but I don’t really see the need for a service plan if major issues are going to be missed in our furnaces and air compressors. We haven’t even got into fixing the mold growing on the coil in the crawlspace, which cost thousands of dollars to repair.

Also for everyone’s information, when you have a new HVAC system installed you need to call the manufacturer to register it. My wife and I did not know this and the Manufactures warranty only covers parts for five years. If we had registered the new system with the manufacture the parts would be covered for 10 years. Our builder, contractor and realtor never mentioned it and I had never heard of having to do this. So if you ever get a new HVAC system or move into a new construction home, make sure you register it with the manufacturer!

Outstanding people to work with from their customer service to the technicians in the field. We lost our AC over a Memorial Day weekend and I immediately called Alexander. They had a technician (Jordan) at my house the next morning (Saturday). He couldn't fix it right then and there because a new coil was needed. As soon as the office opened up on Tuesday morning, they're estimating team was working on a quote to perform the job. Alexander was completely fair and professional in every manner. They take great pride in their work and how they treat their customers. I will, without any hesitation, look forward to calling upon them again when service is needed.

We had an amazing experience with Jordan and Briana from Alexander Heating and Air. Briana called back after our initial online service request within 30 minutes. She was professional and very helpful. She was very friendly and compassionate about our AC issue in July. She found a time convenient for our family and would quickly resolve our lack of AC upstairs. Jordan came out right on time, was the consummate professional, and the price was much less than I’ve paid for the same service previously (capacitor replacement). Jordan was informative of the issues with our unit, quickly fixed our problem, informed me of things to do to extend the life of our existing unit, and gave a quote for a new compressor when the time comes. There was no high pressure sales pitch, but instead he was a very professional repair person that also offered new HVAC options. I will definitively get my new unit from Alexander Heating and Air when the time comes.

I had an AC unit go out and Kaycee immediately got me an appointment and followed up when she was able to get my appointment moved up. Very satisfied with the quality of their service. Arrived when they were supposed to and texted to say the tech was on his way. Tech was efficient and professional. Diagnosed our problem quickly. The parts needed were ordered and we are on their schedule to finish the repair.
Office staff was very helpful and prompt in returning phone calls.

Much needed additional duct work was completed by Alexander HVAC today. The team showed up as scheduled and were careful to protect our carpets, etc., while performing the job. They were efficient and friendly and we're now enjoying the work done. We also have had an annual plan with them for Spring and Fall A/C tuneups. Very happy to continue that, too.

Alexander was an absolute nightmare. We did two installs with them as the first one was rocky (the workers dropped the unit down our attic stairs) but they made it right... the second install was awful - beyond awful - and it failed the Wake County Inspection due to a gas leak in my home. THEN... to make things even better, almost 4 years AFTER these two nightmares we get an e-mail that they're auditing their 2017 records and need to return again to our home because the permitting with the county was not done properly - so we get to deal with them once more. Pushy salespeople, overpriced when we comparison shopped, horrible installation experiences, and clearly not any bookkeeping or record keeping that I would ever wish to deal with again.

Local local knowledgeable staff and plumber. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jeremiah and his colleague Vincent. Jeremiah is very courteous, service oriented, and knowledgeable given the unique hot water tank of an Apollo system. I was educated about the process and was provided with a couple of options and pricing promptly. I would highly recommend this company and Jeremiah as they are local and have provided quality service thus far.
