Our AC went out and we first called Horizon and had a horrible experience with the sales consultant that was in our home for two hours pitching us, gave us an outrageous quote, was flabbergasted when we wouldn’t sign at the table, and was downright rude. Contacted Farnen and Dermer, who came out the next day, listened to our needs, gave a reasonable quote (for a better system), and scheduled install the following day. The entire experience with Farnen and Dermer was smooth, easy, and professional. Keon and Caleb were our install techs and they did a fantastic job. I can’t recommend Farnen and Dermer enough and will absolutely use them again for any other household services we need that they provide.

Farnen & Dermer Inc. did a great job! My 15 year old heat pump froze over and due to the age and the loss of a defrost circuit board, I needed to replace both the inside and outside units. I obtained several proposals from various HVAC companies and chose Farnen & Dermer Inc. Ed Dermer came out to do the estimate and was very professional and informative. He took the time to explain the differences between various manufacturers products. He didn’t try to add any additional products unlike the other vendors. I received a quote within a half an hour of his visit, and it was a competitive price. I continued to shop around and used Ed as a resource for questions via email for which he responded in a timely manner. I finally decided to go with Farnen & Dermer proposed American Standard 16 SEER unit and the installation was scheduled later that week. They sent out two technicians, RJ & Caleb, to do the installation. Both were thorough and professional. They answered my questions and completed the job within about 6 hours. The only issue I had was getting online with the Wi-Fi enabled Honeywell T6 thermostat. Both technicians attempted to get the device to work with my phone but were unsuccessful. They offered for someone to come back in a few days to either get the device to work or replace it with a different model. A technician was scheduled to bring out the replacement thermostat. Shaun P. showed up and attempted to get the Honeywell device to work. After several attempts he replaced the Honeywell device with a Google Nest thermostat. I was completely satisfied with the service and the customer care I received and believe they live up to the five-star service they offer.

From the beginning, they were prompt in returning my call, very professional when they came out to give the estimate. Also sensitive to covid concerns. They were very patient and understanding about us needing time to make a decision and to get other quotes, no hard sell on their services but just staying in contact with us. They arrived and took care of removing the old furnace and installed the new one exactly as they said they would. They worked quietly and efficiently while I worked from home. There was a bit of follow up to the job but they stayed on top of it and everything seems to be working well. I really enjoyed my experience with Farnen and Dermer.

The service received from Farnen & Dermer was outstanding from the initial phone call for an estimate, done by Ed to the completion of the install done by R.J. and Caleb. All done in less than a week.

The technician was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and have me up and running in no time. I would highly recommend the service to everyone who needs HVAC system service.

We recently hired Farnen & Dermer in a pinch in the 90 degree heat because our AC wasn’t working. The crew was able to quickly detect the problem (on a Thursday), and replace our AC unit and furnace the next Monday. We now have an extremely cool house - and we love the mobile friendly thermostat app. Very impressed with their promptness, professionalism and overall service. Would recommend!

The men who installed the system were friendly and professional. They took extra time to make sure that everything was installed correctly and neatly. I would recommend this company to a friend.

Farnen and Dermer were wonderful from the time we called to the time they came and completed the work. We had a full heat pump and new thermostat installed. Their service folks were on time, knowledgeable, friendly and on task.

So far, Farnen & Dermer has not disappointed me with providing excellent service -- from my first home and now (as I'm continuing getting acclimated in my second home).
