Priced Right Heating & Cooling

I cant even begin to describe how great Jim and his team are. They were friendly, professional, timely and were most definitely priced right! We had 4 other companies come and give us quotes on a new AC and furnace. Jim's presentation of products and explanations were far superior to other companies. His prices were $2000 lower than one other company that came out for similar (if not lower quality) products. Knowing that our AC was shot and that it would be a couple of days before our new equipment arrived Jim came out to refill our coolant so that we would be cool in the mean time. Something that they didn't have to do but was GREATLY appreciated. One week later things seemed to be going well except the temp upstairs was much higher than the lower level. Called Jim who came out within a couple of hours to open the dampers, (something he could have explained to me over the phone), explained them to me (again Im pretty sure he mentioned it during installation) and checked to make sure everything else was going smoothly. You really cant go wrong with the company!! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Just had a new Lennox furnace and air conditioner installed by Jim and his crew to replace an old system that was starting to give us numerous problems. Their pricing came in well below the competition even with the higher quality equipment they offered. They showed up on time and finished in a timely manner. The work they did was extremely clean and the installed equipment looks great. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have a new system installed.

Jim Ferguson provided us his honest opinion and answered all our questions without making us feel ignorant. We have had him out on two different occasions and will recommend him to our friends and family. Very professional, punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. He presented us with different options and pricing was fair. This is the company we will use for all our HVAC needs in the future.

Update 5/3/18: After one year of installation, we had an issue with our cold air blowing and Jim Ferguson was at our house within 30 minutes of sending him a text, late in the evening. He left his family event to attend to his customer. This company offers exemplary service and wants to make it right.

I am beyond impressed with the service I have received from Jim and his guys. I've spent a few hundred keeping my 19 year old furnace and A/C going the last couple of years and I was looking at another thousand to keep it running this year.

I decided to get everything replaced and Jim came over to go through the options. He was thoroughly professional, didn't attempt to up-sell and answered all the concerns my wife and I had. He proposed a solution that met our needs without breaking the bank.

Two week later they showed up at 7:40am and worked tirelessly throughout the day. I would say their quality of work is second to none and they left everything so clean afterwards, it was impossible to tell they were even in my house aside from the new hardware.

It's working like a dream and we are so glad we made the call. Priced Right is a quality operation through-and-through.

I called 7:30am and by 2pm a service tech was at my home. Yes, I got lucky that my AC wasn't blowing cold because the capacitor was shot. So, no big expense this time. But I talked about my system with the tech (and I've got a brother-in-law in the HVAC biz in Michigan), so I know I'll have to replace this 19-year old system in the near future. I'll be sure to call Priced Right for a quote when that time comes. This technician was prompt, fast, and efficient. My opinion - did a great job! Thank you!

We had a full A/C and furnace install done a little over a week and half ago and could not be any happier with the installation and end product. Jim and Paul were efficient and professional in every aspect of the process. They even left the area the units are in cleaner than they found it. The thing that stood out to me was before hand and during the install I really only delt with the owner (Jim). I don't think you would see that with the so called big boy companies in the area and it means a lot to me. Their prices were fair and competitive with a few other quotes we has got before and I'm always more inclined to go with the mom and pop businesses in our community. I will tell anyone that will listen that they should use Priced Right Heating and Cooling for their heating and cooling needs.

This was my first time using Priced Right. I chose them because I thought I needed a new furnace, and a number of their reviews mention satisfaction with service and price for replacements.

I came home on a Friday night to a house that was 58 degrees. By morning it was in the 40's, and I called Priced Right first thing. Jim was here in about three hours, having completed two calls before mine.

He called 30 minutes before he expected to arrive, and was very prompt.

My furnace is 16 years old. A different company recommended replacing it and the a/c nearly two years ago, when they diagnosed a very expensive problem based on a high pitched noise (a bad ball bearing in a motor requiring the entire mechanism be replaced). I decided to let it go until it died. The noise was gone the following winter, and it worked fine until now.

So Friday night into Saturday I feared the worst.

But this time had nothing to do with that motor. Jim determined within minutes that my igniter wasn't working. He had the specific part on his truck because it's common to many Lennox heaters.

Unfortunately he had to work pretty hard to replace it because of corrosion, and because my particular heater is poorly designed for repairs. I was impressed by his genuinely pleasant manner and attitude throughout the visit.

And the price was great: a service call fee, a charge for weekend work, plus the part.

He said my furnace was a good model, and should have few more years in it.

Aside from being very relieved that it's not time for a new furnace, I was happy to have had such a good repair experience. I plan to use Priced Right in the future.

Hit our first 100 degrees in 3 years, and guess what....A/C goes out! I called several people last night and ended up with a competitor come out to my house this morning at 7AM. Told me that I needed to replace at the minimum my A/C unit, but most likely both A/C and Furnace. Said my Fan Motor was bad, compressor and capacitors were bad. Said I was looking at $6K to $10K for replacement. So, while I was dealing with this other company, Jim at Priced Right called me back and asked if I had anyone looking at it yet. I told him I was in the middle of looking at some options to replace, and Jim told me that he was a few blocks away and wanted to come by and look at it before I did anything with anyone else.

Jim was here in about 10 minutes, found out that it was only the capacitor. Fixed it all for under $250!

I can't tell you how relieved I am with Jim, his partner and the whole company!! I would highly recommend these people to anyone. Small company, excellent and honest service! Please please make sure to call PricedRight before anyone else...you won't be disappointed!!!

I began to hear a funny noise from my furnace. I called Priced Right Heating and Cooling and Paul arrived promptly the next day to investigate the source. He explained my furnace was 20 years old and cooling system not far behind. Paul expertly reviewed all my options and after careful consideration I decided to opt for a full replacement. Jim Ferguson and Paul were professional in every aspect and the price was very competitive. Highly recommend.

We feel fortunate to have selected Jims' company "Priced Right" for the installation of our new air conditioner / furnace system. There are a lot of heating and cooling companies to choose from in the Overland Park area.
