Priced Right Heating & Cooling

When my AC went out a month ago, Priced Right was the first company I called based on reviews and location. Jim found time to come out and look the very same day and had actually diagnosed the unit from the outside before I got there. He took the time to explain to me the problem and options I had to fix the old unit. In the end, the cost wouldn't have been worth it as it was a 13 year old unit with r22 so he quoted me the price on several new models from Trane. He took the time to explain the differences and didn't try to up sell, but rather gave me his honest opinion. I got several other quotes from other companies for comparable units and in the end, like Jim guessed, his quote was the lowest for the best equipment. I scheduled prompt install with them within a few days. They showed up on time, did great work and even cleaned up the vent on my water heater at no extra charge. Won't hesitate to call Priced Right next time I need any HVAC work. Thanks guys!

The first time we used them, we called them in for a second opinion. The individual that looked at our system first had told us some things about our system that were not true. When Paul came and looked at our system, he was honest with us. We have a relative that is in the same business and he backed up what Paul had told us. We continue to use them because we trust them.

Jim worked with us to get the right low-cost system for our home. Before we replaced the furnace and a/c both Jim and Paul patched our system up several times. Our system was about 20 years old and it was the initial system put in with the house. On top of that our system was so outdated that it was hard to find parts and the wiring was very different from others systems. Even the company that built it was surprised it had survived as long as it did. We picked Priced Right to replace the furnace and a/c because they have always been very polite, helpful, and honest with us. We will continue to use them for regular maintenance on our system.

I got bids from four HVAC companies to replace two twenty year old A/C and Furnace units at our house. I also did a lot of research on the web so I knew exactly what equipment I had and what I wanted to replace it with before I started out on this adventure. I wanted to go up one size on the A/C units because the old ones just barely kept our house cool enough during the hottest parts of the summer. And when I say barely, I mean we were sweating and running the fans with the A/C running constantly if the temp got up to 100 degrees outside

When I contacted Jim at Priced Right Heating and Cooling, I sent him the specs of what I had, a description of my problems that I wanted to solve, and explained what I wanted to accomplish with the new units. Basically to solve a leak problem that one of my old units had and get slightly more cooling capacity to get through the hottest months of summer. Jim asked me a few more questions about my HVAC systems and used the info that I had already put together to get me estimates on four system configurations that he categorized as basic, good, better, and best. And he even emailed me price estimates so I would know what I was getting into before he ever stepped foot in my yard. He was the ONLY person used the detailed info I sent them and would talk price with me before showing up in person first. He gets an A+ for listening to me and what I was looking for.

After I reviewed the details of the four configurations that he put together for me, I called Jim back and setup a time for him to come out to my house to take measurements and see if there was any obstacles that he might run into. He came out quick, looked at what I had, said yep, it's just like I told him it was. So no surprises and nothing complicated, or extra that he would need to add to the quotes. Again, another A+ for reading the info I sent him and paying attention to it so I didn't have to repeat myself again and again.

Now here is where Priced Right and specifically Jim, start to pull away from the pack in front of the other HVAC companies I contacted. Knowing that we were going into a hot week in a few days, Jim topped off the freon in my a/c that had the leak while he was here to do the measurements. He said he would just recover the freon back out when he took the old machines out in a few days and he wanted to make sure we stayed comfortable since the heat was coming. I didn't ask him to do it, he just offered to do it since we would be getting the two new HVAC systems from him in the next few weeks. So that moves him up to an A++ on customer service there!

So on install day, Jim and the Priced Right Heating and Cooling crew shows up promptly at 8:00am. They are all very courteous and respectful of our house and our time. They put down floor runners to protect the floor, made sure to close the doors behind them when they went in and out so the cat didn't get out, cleaned up everything in the areas where they worked when they were done. They even cleaned up a broken light bulb I had dropped the day before while I was changing out the light bulb by the furnace. I didn't ask them to clean it up, the broken glass was just there near where they were working, they saw it needed to be picked up, and they swept up my own mess along with what they were cleaning up. They get an A+++ for cleaning up after me!

They redid the sheet metal ductwork that was connected to the furnaces. Cleaned it all up, sealed everything with caulking, and used aluminum tape to cover the seams.

I can't say enough good things about the great job that Jim and his crew did on our HVAC replacements. They went above and beyond everything that I asked of them or expected them to do. I have absolutely no hesitation about recommending or using Priced Right Heating and Cooling again in the future.

Oh, and remember I started this review by saying I got bids from four HVAC companies? Priced Right's bid ended up being the lowest price of all four bids... No pushy sales pitch. And a great installation experience. The lowest price was the icing on the cake.

I would highly recommend to anyone that wants fair pricing along with superior service and workmanship to retain the services of Priced Right. My recommendation is based on actual experience of standing by and watching the installation of my Trane equipment and removal of my 15 year old Lennox equipment.

I am very detailed myself and could not believe how detailed the crew was and how professional with regards to using all new equipment and not trying to salvage any components of my old system in order to save themselves money. Everything was brand new out of the box and the owner himself replaced two of my vent closures and molded brand new ones in the back of their box truck along with some new duct work to match the new equipment. They even replaced the duct tubing for the furnace exhaust and the duct from the main duct to the humidifier instead of trying to salvage the old tubing which they could have done and I would have never known the difference. They had everything needed and did not leave the premise once during their installation. They truly knew what they were doing and did it above and beyond my own expectations.

Besides Jim Ferguson, his main installer is Paul and he was fantastic too! Great personalities and fun to talk with. Paul had his nephew Brandon start with the company and Brandon was working non-stop with the clean up and removing of equipment along with other detailed tasks, so he also gets a 5 star rating just like Paul and Jim. Great way to learn the business watching 2 professionals working together as a team.

IN the beginning I called and was greeted by Jim Ferguson the owner of Priced Right Heating & Cooling and I was very impressed with his willingness to take my calls and help educate me with information needed to make a good decision. The install date was on a Saturday and they showed up early for the 8 am appointment. Their crew worked efficiently and finished the entire replacement of Heating and cooling in under 7 hours. I upgraded to dual stage systems to ensure the highest level of comfort in our home and could not be more satisfied. The fan is set to run 24/7 which keeps the cool air circulating and my filters can pick up more dust and animal dander, as we have 3 cats and 2 dogs.

Our choice of equipment was not the highest or lowest priced systems, however based on the recommendations of several HVAC companies and finally confirmed by Jim Ferguson, we chose the Trane 4 ton 16 seer AC dual stage system for cooling and chose the Trane 5 ton 80% efficiency dual stage furnace for heating. The AC unit has a 16-17 seer efficiency rating and will save us about 50-55% of our current energy bill throughout the summer months.

Based on strong recommendations from our top 3 HVAC bids, we did not buy the 90-95% efficient furnace because our monthly gas bill is about $77 per month and that includes running a gas water heater which is about $30 of the $77, so there was NO way to really save any money by going with a higher efficiency which can really increase the pricing without any payback of savings.

Some HVAC contractors will try to sell you on the higher efficient furnaces, but if you have natural gas, then I would not buy from them due to the lack of honesty and for not recommending the right choice for you.

I knew we needed to replace out entire HVAC system and knew that pricing could range up to double of what a reasonable pricing system should be so I ended up with bids from 6 different companies and 2 others backed out when they knew they were in competition with other bids. I highly recommend that you always get multiple bids, but if you need a short cut, you can count on Priced Right to meet the pricing needs all while using the best equipment for your individual home needs.

Priced Right Heating & Cooling has been servicing my home HVAC system for years, coming day, nights, and weekends as necessary. Besides offering the most competitive system installation pricing, they maintain the business relationship for years after initial install, insuring that the system runs reliably. I recently had to replace my HVAC system - TWICE! The first time I used someone who was recommended to my by a friend, but it turned out to be a HUGE, NOT-TO-CODE, MESS! So I started calling around. Some of the bigger companies didn't even have time to return my calls and those that sent someone out for an estimate, sent salesmen. Jim Ferguson came out himself to do the estimate and unlike the other reps, he didn't try to sell me features I didn't need. He worked with me to help me figure out what made sense for the size and value of my home as well as how long I intended to stay in this home. I also liked that Jim was careful not to bad mouth other companies or even the guy who did the first install. He was professional, conscientious, and non-condescending! The install was equally as impressive and smooth AND BEST OF ALL - to code!. My system has been working great and the followup customer service was a great touch! I bought a new air conditioner from Priced Right and had it installed on July 22. My experience with this company was good through the whole process. The installer Paul, was friendly and helpful and they kept me informed and answered all my questions through the process from the time I got the quote until installation date. I do not hesitate to recommend this company and I will use them for my HVAC needs in the future.

Our furnace started going out around first of the year. Called Jim at Priced Right and made an appt and came out. Walked us through the whole process and gave us all the options. No pressure sales and didn't try talking us into anything we didn't need. I called a couple of other places to get estimates but Prices Right was better and Jim really made us comfortable. They came out on 1/15/18 on time. Work clean and as quickly as possible. Jim and his installers were professional and courteous. When they finished they went over everything they had done. Jim really seemed to appreciate our business, and we will be using him for any future HVAC needs.

Priced Right was absolutely the best! Everybody said that buying and HVAC system is a lot like buying a vehicle, I only wish I could find a car dealer as honest and professional as Jim with Priced Right. He was out to give us an estimate within 15 minutes and never tried to sell us anything that we didn't need. Explained thoroughly each option and the benefits that all of them had.
