I was very happy with the job this company did on installing my furnace/air conditioner. They came out on an emergency call to look at my air conditioner that had stopped working. The tech - Eric diagnosed the problem and get me all the information I needed to make a decision to fix the unit or replace. The unit was 22 years old, so I thought it better to replace it. The installation crew did a wonderful job installing. Wally and his helper were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this company.

Here is the executive headline: Official Heating and Cooling conducts business honestly, precisely, and fairly.

My experience: I contacted Official for the yearly furnace check and clean. I alternate between two companies so I have a line of communication in case of emergency.

The same tech (Erik) has serviced it for years (nice longevity) . He found a small carbon monoxide (CO) leak. Rightfully, they recommended a replacement ASAP. The instant quote seemed fair.

But being a consumer, I wanted to confirm it, so I called "The Other Guys". They brought the same model CO detector. Found no leak.

Given the conflicting info, I called the Official office. After discussing with the manager, Mary, she agreed send a new tech with a different detector, to confirm one of the two findings. Instantly, this new tech discovered a leak nearly immediately. (As an aside, I saw how all three searched for the leak, and the two Official techs did it a way that made more sense to me.)

Just the same, I called "The Other Guys" to get a quote. I failed to get a call hours later. I called again. I got the classic salesperson. He quoted 87% higher than the Official quote. Then he gave me the famous "what will it take...throw out a number...I can talk to a manager". (I'm not against the tactic, but I expect it when buying a car, not something for my home replacing a failed and dangerous piece of equipment.)

Obviously, I called Official late in the day (because the other guys were so slow to quote). Out the next day EXACTLY at 8 am on a 8-9 appointment. Didn't scratch the wood steps. Kept everything clean. Took his time to do it right. Pointed out two things where he went the extra mile. Had a little fun with our overly friendly puppy. Updated us often. Went over some key things about the furnace. Jason did an A+ job.

Too many times, emergencies prevent us from fully researching things. In that situation, a company can remain fair, or try to gouge a consumer. Just know that Official Heating and Cooling treats all customers as well as I've seen in any industry.

Perhaps even more important, they did a great job to make sure we remained safe and healthy. (Imagine if I followed "The other guy's" advice of 'I'm not worried about this at all'?)

Had A/C, Furnace and air cleaner installed they did a very professional job, left everything very clean and explained everything to us. Even had Eddie come out a couple months after install to check everything out and to answer any question that we may have on units! Had them service our units for years before we needed new ones and we will continue to use them for our maintenance needs always fair prices and great service.

Hitting the big -20 degree freeze with a furnace shut down today. It wasn’t long before the house began to cool down FAST. Called up Official fearing the worst. WOW was I impressed. Service technician Eric showed up within an hour. He had us up and running in no time. Then came the moment of truth... the bill. Once again I was impressed. Even with an after hour service call the cost was extremely reasonable. I got amazing response time, fantastic technician, AND a great price. I highly recommend
