My furnace would get the house up to 63 degrees and then cycle off. A first visit fixed a board and a switch. After a week, it happened again. Erik was out the next day. One of the motors had almost burned out. It was late in the day, but he went out and got the motor and replaced it immediately, getting our heat back on. There was a problem with the exhaust piping that caused the motor problem. It will be fixed in a few days at no cost to us.
They were prompt and kept us informed of any changes. Very happy with Official!

I use Official Heating and Cooling company for my regular/yearly updates for my air conditioner and furnace, they are the best folks anywhere around. Eddie came out for a scheduled test of our year-old furnace in April of 2018. He was very knowledgeable and explained the service and what he had done. The furnace needed a small adjustment to keep it at its peak efficiency and to maximize our comfort. He was very courteous and professional. We had Al from Official Heating and Cooling come out to our house for an assessment and cleaning of our furnaces. He arrived on time and was very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only did he fix our furnace at minimal cost, but also provided information on maintenance going forward. He checked all of the vents and air returns to make sure everything was working properly before he left. For the second furnace he diagnosed that the thermostat was not connecting to the furnace, so that will be replaced. The furnace is very old and needs to be replaced soon. We will definitely use them to replace the furnace, or any other work in the future. I would highly recommend Official Heating and Cooling to friends and family.

First this was a sort of emergency and a little over 2 hours after calling the nicest guy showed up. Secondly he diagnosed the issue within a few minutes, fixed the problem and was out the door. I was very impressed by the whole experience!

What great follow-up from Official HVAC. We had a new furnace & ac unit installed several weeks ago, which went so smoothly. Last week we received a call from Audrey letting us know that included in the purchase was a follow-up call to check the systems. Eddie called to let me know he was on his way, and arrived on time. Asked how the system was running, if we had any questions, checked both units, and took extra time to show me a setting on our new Ecobe thermostat. As a Realtor I refer people, trades, services, etc. Official & their wonderful staff always go Above & Beyond, my top choice for HVAC!

Today I had Official come out and Justin was so awesome! Very friendly and so fast! He diagnosed, fixed and had us cooling down from a house temp of 85 in no time at all! We will DEFINITELY be using Official in the future when we need anything regarding heating and air! Thank you thank you, we can actually sleep upstairs again!

Great HVAC company in the greater Chicagoland area. Have been using this company twice a year for several years now and had excellent service each time. Thank you, Eddie, for servicing our a/c and teaching us how to replace the air filter. No need to remember when to have your furnace or a/c service because this company call YOU to schedule when to come. Isn’t that great. No other company does this and we really appreciate their thoughtfulness.

Naturally, the air conditioner stops working on the warmest day and always on a weekend!
We had Official HVAC install and maintain our AC and heating units and they were always great. This time I called on a Sunday evening and by Monday afternoon Corky came to the house. I name him because he deserves the recognition. He is friendly, explained everything he was doing and you could feel very confident that he really knows his stuff.
Corky knew exactly what the problem was, replaced the right parts quickly and (holy cow!) everything worked perfectly.
He worked up an invoice and we questioned if anything was still on warranty since we have the maintenance done regularly. After checking with the office it appeared that the warranty expired so we ran the transaction through with a credit card. Corky left and we were very happy.
Now get this... I get a call from Official HQs in Crystal Lake the next day and they double checked our unit and maintenance record. Because we maintained the units regularly with Official it's actually still under warranty for parts so I'm to get a refund check for $182.60! And a couple of days later the check arrives.
These folks are honest, smart on the job and great people to work with; WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND OFFICIAL HVAC!

Al was here to check out my furnace because it was shutting off, but not completely. It did this several times a day. He explained what was happening and cheked the filter and all the vents. He explained how the flu system worked and made a couple of adjustments. All in all it was a 5 star appointment! Totally satisfied with his responses and explanations. Great service!
