Our 15 yr Central AC went out in early Aug...of course! The worst part, the air handler is in the far reaches of our attic. Our home is 70+ yrs old hillside ranch w/walk-out style basement and the garage tucks under the 1st floor. The heat is hotwater baseboard, the CAC was installed 15 yrs before we bought the home, the air handler/exchanger is in the attic.

Official came out the day we called to troubleshoot and we're back in the very early AM hours the next day while the attic was still reasonably cool, their crew made no complaints & fixed it!

It turned out there was more to our problems than simply replacing the old outside condenser.

Over the next few days we had to have their tech back to troubleshoot & rectify our issues, the new system was freezing up and shutting down.

We ultimately needed the air exchanger (in the attic) to be thoroughly cleaned. We also needed an additional air return vent due to interior walls which were previously moved during updating & rennovation that caused a change in the interior air flow from the primary bedroom.

Official stuck with us and finally rectified all our CAC problems affordably, they even offered low interest financing. We got to know the crew & managers pretty well over this period. They were very concerned for us & our comfort!

They listened, understood and quickly helped solve another problem we had w/a damp musty smelling basement. We had been using multiple small portable dehumidifiers. They suggested replacing them all with an excellent quality whole house dehumidifier at an outstanding price. It was simple to install and operates quitely and efficiently, its amazing how well it works pulling moisture out of the entire house! We put one of the old portable dehumidifiers in our garage which tucks under the house. Now the garage is cool, dry & odor free too!

Our AC works less, the house stays cooler and the basement & garage are dry & odor free and no longer smells like a 70+ yr old basement! Thanks Official for bringing new life & additional comfort to our old home. And they come back once a year to maintain our systems like clockwork. I highly recommend you allow them to do any HVAC work for you!
