I had a very good experience with Jim's. The dispatch gal was great and the technician that came to the call was thorough and helpful. Dave Nunes was his name. Minutes after he left i received a call asking for feedback about my experience. The staff was fantastic.
My only complaint would be the parts were very expensive. The thermostat i chose can be found for about a third of the price online. I realize there is a premium on replacement parts with the labor (particularly for a house call) but it seemed, i don't know - excessive.
Other than that I was very satisfied and would recommend Jim's and their friendly staff to anyone.
The crew at Jim's Heating & Cooling have maintained my furnace and air conditioner for many years. They installed a new air conditioner three years ago and a new furnace last year. All the personnel I have worked with from Jim's are very professional, honest and accurate in their judgements. Jason and Mike were very patient in explaining every detail of the installation and operation of my new system. I recommend Jim's for any heating and cooling needs.
We could not possibly have chosen a better company to install a new heat pump and system than Jim’s Heating and Cooling. Michael M, our service consultant, is the ultimate professional and spent time explaining all the options for replacing our old and broken hvac system. He is personable, patient and kind and came after the install to teach us all the details of running the system. The installation day was about as easy as could be possible; all the installers were knowledgeable and professional , and all tried to make the install as pleasant as possible, and they thoroughly cleaned afterward. We were pleased with the work of all the staff—Rick, Kyle, Anthony and (I am uncertain, but I believe) Mick. We are grateful to have such a reliable company in our community.
Getting a new furnace and air conditioner with Jim's was easy and I was very impressed with their entire team. From the initial phone call to set up an estimate to the final paperwork the whole experience was very positive. Mike and John were extremely knowledgeable and explained the process with detail. I have used Jim's in the past and have had reasonable service. A week ago my air conditioner was not working so I called for a diagnostic trip to see what was wrong. It is an older unit so I was a little worried. The tech got there before I could get home from work, my roommate showed him to the unit to check it out. Tech called me at work and told me that the disconnect was broken (which it has been for years but fits perfectly) and seeing as the unit and furnace were old that I would need new units. He said that if he pulled the disconnect box open that the wires would be fried. I trusted him and it cost me 78 dollars. Had one of their salesman come out and give me some prices on units of which I could not afford as I am a single senior on a limited salary. The next day I had Diamond Heating and Cooling come out for a FREE second opinion. Their tech told me that all that was wrong was a bad contacter of which he replaced and it has been working fine. He opened the disconnect box up and said the wiring was fine. If the Jim's tech would have checked things out instead of assuming that it was toast and only wanting to sell me 10,000 worth of equipment, I would have been happy. Needless to say Jim's will not be getting any more of my business, I feel like I just threw 78 dollars down the drain.
Recently had Jim's replace my 15 year old Hvac system. They were honest and didnt try and sell a product we didn't need. They were able to schedule the appointment quickly and were here when they said they would be. I have already recommended Jim's to a couple neighbors & one who is a contractor looked at the install job by Jim's and said he had not seen a more professional job and he would be calling when he replaces his system. Highly recommended!!
Sally, Dwight, Brent, & Chris, what an amazing team! Jim's Heating and Cooling has always provided exceptional service, and this time replacing our A/C unit was no exception. They are all very personable, yet very professional too. I like that Brent really 'knows his stuff." I like that they covered our carpet with plastic from the front door to the location of the unit, and everything was clean after they completed the job. From past experience I already know that Dwight is great at service and install, and I was happy to have him take care of us again. As painful as it is to have to spend a fair chunk of change on an A/C unit, I am happy knowing that the price was reasonable, the unit is what we wanted, and the install was done correctly. I had looked at their reviews when searching for a company to service my HVAC system and assure you I chose the right company. Again thank you Isaac for your expertise and friendliness.
Mitch was professional and friendly, answering my questions and providing a better than normal maintenance. After he finished cleaning the air return duct, I asked him to wipe down my ceiling fan as my duster could not reach that far and he did it for me. I have always had a good experience with the service men at Jim's Heating and Cooling.
My furnace died after a robust life. It was mid January and cold! Based on reputation and previous experience with Carrier and with Jim's Heating and Cooling, I called Jim's. There was a rapid response from a well informed technician. While repairs were possible, the furnace was past its lifespan. The new furnace was installed rapidly - the help along the way from problem diagnosis, to system review/consultation and installation was rapid, excellent, and responsive. I am very pleased with the system - given sinus issues and sensitivity to air quality I decided on the air scrubbing component - I noticed a discernible difference immediately. I would highly recommend.
