We have been needing a new HVAC for many years, our old one operating on hopes, prayers and crises fingers that just onnnne more season they’d see us through the cold and or heat. Investing in a new HVAC is no cheap task by any means and while it seems there are many companies to choose from, it was imperative that if we were going to to bite the bullet and do it, we better do it right and we better find the right company who has impeccable recommendations, references and is absolutely 100% reliable. After talking to a few HVAC companies, it was Mark Teuscher with Jim’s Heating and Cooking who really came through for us. He not only took the time on two separate occasions to help us find the ideal units for our home and family but he also shared in great detail the various functions of each unit we were thinking about, offering us the pros and cons of each. He answered all of our questions and offered answers to questions I hadn’t even thought to ask.

When the crew showed up to dismantle my old dinosaur of an HVAC (Kyle, Mick, Dave and John), they were on time, extremely friendly, non judgmental of said dinosaur, and more importantly were not put off my my small tribe of dogs that would from time to time remind them that this was their house.
Whereas one company said it would take 2-3 days to install a new furnace, a/c and run a gas line for a gas range, Jim’s awesome crew were here by 8, had everything up and running and all cleaned up better than when they had gotten here by 5 that night.

I literally could not be more pleased with all who played a part in this; Mark for his insight and his patience with my anxiety about making such a big purpose and to the crew for being such a stellar group of fellas and knocking it out of the park with their work ethic and respect for my home.

Issac did an excellent job on my annual heating maintenance checkup. Professionsl, efficient, pleasant . Also changed the pad in my humidifier - which involves going into my crawl space a long way. Have used Jim's Heating & Cooling for all things HVAC since 2000. Very pleased with their services.

Mark, John, Kyle, best team effort I have experience in the treasure valley. The heating/ac system that they installed has provided good even heating, can wait to see how the AC does next summer. I would recommend them for your heating or AC needs. Maintenance service is also very good, used them before replacing old system.

We purchased a new Carrier furnace from Jim's Heating on Jan 13. 2015. Their installation personnel did an excellent job and were a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, the Carrier furnace does not function as expected. We have the setting for the furnace fan configured to be on 24/7. It should run continuously. We expected it to run continuously. It does not. It stops and re-starts when the thermostat senses that heat needs to be delivered. This is very annoying, particularly since our prior furnace DID run continuously (for about 30 years). After some investigation by Jim's, we were informed that the above behavior is a "feature" of the Carrier furnace and cannot be changed.

Jim's sales person assured us he would "do what ever it takes" to resolve the issue to our satisfaction, including replacing the Carrier with another manufacturer. Our last communication from Jim's Heating was an email stating that nothing could be done.

I highly recommend Jim's for service and maintenance. I would NOT recommend purchasing a new furnace from Jim's Heating.

Eric from Jim's heating and cooling was very knowledgeable and courteous. He answered all my questions professionally and pointed out trouble issues and things for us to watch in a way that wasn't like going to the dentist!

Yes...he did 'up-sell' us on our service, but it was done in a manner of asking what we needed and then describing their options. In the end, I was the one to continue asking questions about their service options and opting for the one that better suited our needs. It definitely was not a 'salesman' approach you sometimes get when someone comes out to your house!
