Similar experience to Jessica C. Only worse. A tech came out, put in a capacitor and dated looking thermostat for Grandma for $987! Warning, he has you sign your signature on his phone when you can't see what's above the signature. Then doesn't even provide a receipt! He calls his boss Hector out for a second opinion on something suspicious. He talks Grandma into a complete new ac/HVAC system. Had her sign a loan for $33,000 more before I had a chance to talk with the fam. He convinced her that her 3yr old Sears 2.5 ton 14 seer system was too small, with incorrect duct work and not enough insulation. Also said ductwork had mold/mildew/ bacteria from pics he got from the original technician. (Not sure why either went up in the attic anyway.) But he scared her enough to sign for the loan. I came in late, asked Hector for the labor and material costs before he left, he refused, said he emailed it to Grandma. I immediately went to research costs and we canceled the contract in writing via email to both that company and the finance company. Invoice email finally arrives. By the time she received it to review it, it would have been too late to cancel. The new sys invoice is a general list of labor and parts but doesn't specify much or itemize costs. The new system he listed to replace it with was the same size as the original! (She had the correct size all along.) He offered to knock the total price down to $20,000 (when she didn't need a thing). If she needed everything he said, the entire price should have been around $11,000 or so (personal research). Another company come out to determine if there was any bacteria or lack of insulation. Said system was perfect. Please get a second opinion, at least research what the approximate cost should be. They weren't even close so it tipped us off. Watch out for their eagerness to come out on a Saturday to lock you into a contract/loan, especially when other AC places are closed for you to get a second opinion. Luckily our system was operable so we were able to immediately cancel that contract. It is convenient that they are open on weekends but in my opinion, it would definitely be cheaper to buy window units to get through the weekend, and shop around on Monday than to hire this company.

Update: Kenny (regional manager) is refusing to refund $199 for the yearly maintenance plan we cancelled unless I take down my review. Just wanted to warn others that "Nobody does it like Air Pros."

Technician West was very knowledgeable of what we needed to fix the AC issue after Ian caused our AC to stop working. Explained everything in great detail. Advised us on what needed to be done to repair it and then he got on it right
away.
