We have a 50 year old boiler that heats our three bedroom condo. It has been producing less and less heat over the last few years, and several plumbing companies have glanced at it and said it had to be replaced. So I decided to have a bunch of people come out and give me estimates to replace it.
The Cooler Company came first. The gentleman they sent (I don’t like naming even wonderful people-privacy for them) came in and immediately made it clear that he knew his business, and oh boy can he talk boilers! Hired!
To my great relief, he has been able to repair the old workhorse for a small fraction of what replacement would have cost. Everybody understands the visceral terror of facing a $15-20k home repair.
What a gift it is to have found a company that is honest about what is needed.

We had to replace our old swamp cooler after 18 year. So we called The Cooler Company and had a Breezair evaporative cooler installed a few days ago. What a difference. It's now like living in a refrigerator. Hector Hulguin and his crew did a top notch job. The pictures tell the story. Highly recommend them. Going to use them in the future to service our furnace.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. We had our swamp cooler installed at the end of season by The Cooler Company in October 2017. They removed the old swamp cooler and installed a new one. Fast forward to February of 2019. We were in the process of selling our home and needed to get our roof certified. The roofing company said our roof looked great but there were a few issues with the swamp cooler install so they were unable to certify it. After receiving a quote for over $1,000 worth of damages, I immediately called Gary with the Cooler Company. He told me to send over the roofing quote and photos and he will look at it. As soon as I asked him if he was going to send someone out to correct the issues, he immediately went into denial and deflection mode. Gary said that he doubted his guys did anything wrong with the install. I told him to look at the photos and tell me what exactly the roofing company was claiming was wrong and if there was possibly a mistake. He said he would look over the photos and get back to me. Didn’t hear from Gary for almost a week so I called him back to see if they were going to correct the issues from their faulty install. After going back and forth for a few days, he then told me on the 3rd or 4th call with him that they only cover issues with the swamp cooler up to a year after the install. I told him that the install was faulty and that the year timeframe should be irrelevant since it was a bad install to begin with. He then began to say that he doubted what the roofing company (very good reviews online) claimed was wrong with the roof. The issues were; incorrect flashing around the swamp cooler, the electrical unit (witches head as Gary called it) had shingles installed on top of it which does not allow for proper drainage, as well as the 12 shingles that The Cooler Company screwed the cooper water line into without adding any sealant to prevent roof leaks (see attached photos). Even the caulk job around the unit was done very poorly. After getting upset because Gary was trying to avoid fixing these issues, he told me that I should’ve let them know before the year was up so that they could’ve corrected it. I guess you have to go up on your roof and check to make sure the job was done correctly before they leave. I’m not a professional so that is why I thought I hired some professionals to complete the job for us. When you pay as much as we did for a swamp cooler, you expect it to be done correctly the first time. These guys are not professional with their installs and not very reliable to fix their mistakes. I would find some other company to install a swamp cooler and avoid this company. In full disclosure, after much back and forth with Gary, they did agree to fix some of the issues that they caused but not all. Since we were selling our home and needed to get the roof certified for the sale to go through, we decided to have an actual roofing company fix the Cooler Company’s mistakes and pay out of pocket.

Service was good until recent issue. Their technician replaced a cracked solenoid on the unit while I was out of town and turned water on to the unit in the basement, but failed to close the drain valve which sits immediately next to the water supply valve so the unit and supply lines can be drained completely in the fall. So a majority of the water was immediately flowing into the sewer line and continued to do so until I returned 9days later to the sound of water flowing loudly in my basement, thankfully all went in the sewer line as designed, but 50k gallons were wasted and my water bill is over $300 this month. An honest mistake and I told them as much, 4 times, and when the owner/manager finally got to me 2 weeks after my first call to them I was given excuse after excuse and no proposed resolution. BTW This issue also resulted in Denver Water flagging my residence and coming out and inexplicably shutting off the drip irrigation system that fed my raised vegetable garden bed causing major harm there. All I needed to hear is that they would cover the water bill and I was going to move on. They failed. Watch out for those who present excuses for their failures instead of remedies. Poor customer service.

they installed a swamp cooler at our house. had to call back 3 times over 2 weeks, because they left the job unfinished and still expected full payment. the new vents they added are now completely falling out of the ceiling.

went on the roof for the first time to cover the cooler, and the plastic casing around the cooler wasn’t set in place correct. now it’s warped from the sun, and i can’t get it to sit flush. it was also full of dirt from what i assume was the top having a huge gap after not being put in place. found their trash thrown in my gutters. glue is all over the roof in random places.

Hooked up swamp cooler incorrectly; left water line hooked up for winter and line busted; we had to buy new $200 water line; didn't reconnect correctly, machine will only run on low now; called 2 times, employees refuse to take responsibility. woof.

We went with this company for a new evaporative cooler. They were significantly more expensive, but promised that responsive care and always being around for questions following the install was one of the biggest benefits. Turns out that was a complete lie, and we've been stuck with a malfunctioning evaporative cooler and no response despite multiple calls and emails for two months.

When the cooler is working it works great, and the install team was very professional. But for the price, anyone in the Denver area would be better off going with a company that actually follows through with what they say and responds to issues after the install. I have yet to receive a response after detailed pictures of the problem, detailed explanations, and messages about how our dogs were stuck in our hot house for hours while we were away because of a malfunctioning cooler that they installed. They responded that a manager would get back to me the first couple of weeks of messages but have given up on even that small but meaningless courtesy.

Buyer beware: They'll do a good install but you're on your own to figure out any issues with their equipment that they brag so much about when it malfunctions a month into having it.

The professionalism of the installation of a new furnace and air conditioner seemed satisfactory. I paid for each installation when completed. I had several conversations with woman in office that I had not paid for one of the installs. I paid the installer on completion of each install who recorded it on his tablet computer. This took a couple of months to resolve with copies of my checks. I was also told then that someone would come back out in about a year to make sure everything was working okay. No one ever came. The installed humidifier has never worked to the setting on the thermostat. After several calls to speak with the project manager, I was finally told that he had retired on my last call. The woman took all of my information and I was told she would pass it on to xxxxxx when she returned to the office. It has been several days and no call yet. One more attempt today. if that fails, I will file a Better Business Bureau complaint. This is not a reputable company. Avoid!

I got 4 quotes and the Cooler company was the most reasonable, the most responsive and they did a fantastic job on my AC condensor relocation. There was no upsell and Gordie did a fantastic and professional job on the work. I couldnt be happier that i used them. They are coming out next week to service my furnace and I may even talk to them about a evaporative cooler.
