In short:
For the first time, our 100 year old house has consistent and comfortable heating and cooling that is also energy efficient. Would recommend John M and Jake to anyone who has a challenging HVAC situation.

Longer:
As we were bidding out the job, one person recommended that we just sell the place because the work would be too hard. To be fair, they weren’t wrong.
The house was built 100 years ago and about 80 years ago a bedroom was added onto the back of the house with just a crawlspace below it and then 15 years ago the basement was finished and the furnace was moved to the attic. As you can imagine there was a lot to consider in this job, from the current furnace not being large enough to heat the house, the ducts too small and in the wrong places, and no air conditioning of any kind. Oh! Plus a basement that could not get much heat to it from two floors up.
John and Jake came in and came up with a wild approach that involved treating the main floor and the basement almost as separate jobs in order to get the consistent temperature we sought. For the main floor the brought in a heat pump that does the heating and cooling for most of the year, and runs off our solar panels. Then a furnace as back up for the really cold days. They replaced all the duct work, added and moved vents and even had to cut access to the additional bedroom because of he attic above had not access at all.
For the basement they brought in a boiler and ran pipes around the basement, plus three thermostats to make sure the entire space was comfortable. They also replaced the water heater because at this point, why not.
They did all this while taking care not to cut unnecessary holes in walls and did a great job cleaning up after!
If anyone is seeking a thorough, professional, and quality change in your HVAC, I cannot recommend Coffman and Company enough!

Coffman and Company have done our maintenance for a number of years and we have been happy with their service. Tyler is awesome. He has been here before. He's very thorough, and answers any questions we have and is always totally professional.

Eric and John were the best! Not only did they replace my dead air conditioner they replaced a very noisy and about to die furnace! They were quick and very nice. Eric was super patient with my kids who asked him a million questions about what he was doing and was happy to explain what and why he was doing things to them. They cleaned the spaces and left nothing behind. I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them!

Colburn did a fantastic job on our air conditioner. He did things to it that never had been done before. And Tom did a fantastic job on our bathroom faucet. Been using this since late 1990's and been treated really good. We have a service contract with them. Excellent service.

We have used Coffman for years since they installed HVAC. Office staff is helpful and call when regular check ups are due. Technicians are friendly and talented. They do maintenance and repairs efficiently. If a problem is found they give repair cost before fixing. I have recommended Coffman to my friends and neighbors.

Coffman and Company was an excellent choice. These guys came out to assess our needs for our furnace that had failed to work during the coldest days of the season. We were quoted a very reasonable price for a furnace replacement and they were on the job immediately. The guys were courteous, efficient and professional. When we had a slight heating problem after the install John was out without hesitation to get us back up and running that night. Coffman and Company is one you can trust for accurate information, timely repairs and dedication to the customer. We appreciate them and will return to them in the future for all of our hvac needs!

My salesperson John was very personable and spoke to me in simple terms. He was punctual, professional, polite and very informative. Coffman carries Carrier which is a brand I respect and trust. My install lead Eric was nothing short of amazing! He and his helper AJ were both effective, efficient, polite, and VERY clean! When the project was complete, Eric did a great job explaining the installation they performed, how everything worked. He answered all of my questions respectfully and thoroughly.

I would advise NEVER using this company. We called them out to find and fix a leak during the holiday weekend. We agreed to them coming out and knew the cost was $249. for a holiday call out. When we talked to Kyle, he said he was not a plumber but would be able to come out and find the leak and call his manager who was a plumber to help. When he showed up he did not find the leak and said it was probably behind the dry wall. He said he was not qualified to open the dry wall. He NEVER called his manager who was suppose to come out to help and he never found the leak. Instead he just left stating "that we would likely need to cut out the drywall to find the problem." Then he went ahead and charged the $249 for the holiday charge which left the leak continuing to soak the drywall causing more damage without doing anything about it. We talked to the office on that following Tuesday morning and they said we agreed to the $249 and when we told her he did absolutely nothing then she said she would talk to him again and get back to us. She called us the following morning and said he came out for the agreed $249. Again we told her he did absolutely NOTHING. She said she would talk to him again and would get back to us. She NEVER returned our call. Now we had to put it in for a dispute with the credit card company. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE all the way around and doesn't even deserve 1 star.

I have been using Coffman & Company for over a decade and they have been the best in every way.
Just this morning Cameron Raab replaced a new valve on my studio mini volt furnace. He carefully explained the process and workings of the unit.
Also, Cliff VanDyke is an exceptional manager at Coffman & Co and will go the distance to make sure you are satisfied with every aspect of the job.

The Coffman team has taken good care of us for five years and counting in keeping our older furnace and swamp cooler running in great shape. If an issue is not resolved initially, they make sure it is to our satisfaction as they did in tracking down an issue to the motherboard on our furnace not always receiving signals from our thermostat. Everyone is professional and pleasant from the scheduling folks at the office to the technicians. Corban is great and always does a great and thorough job.
