Previous company tried to convince me my HVAC unit was dead and needed to be replaced. Eduardo at Austin fixed the issue within minutes. Good, honest service.

Technician came out and repaired our air conditioning system in less than an hour! Awesome service. I strongly recommend this company.

These people are lazy. The tech showed up and saw an electrical wire which was exposed. He asked if I had dogs and went and called the home warrenty company and then tells me I'm not covered. I felt he just didn't want to work. Why is it his job to determine if the wire was exposed by dogs or me dropping something on it. My dogs are fifteen years old. They don't even have teeth. Besides that, the wire had been that way for several years.
After he told me I wasn't covered, I asked him how much he would charge to fix it. The service tech said to me, " I don't know that. I'm only the tech. You will have to call the office." I called the office and they were closed. He wouldn't give me a price to fix the unit. I will not use them again.

Heather was great. We were assigned to Austin by our home warranty. They were great working with our warranty company and explaining the process to us.

Both technician and scheduler were polite, personable, and efficient. Mike quickly diagnosed the problem, scrambled a bit to source the appropriate part, and promptly resolved the problem.

Furnace went out, two visits over a month and it still doesn't work. Having my ins company send someone else, the technician admitted that he didn't know how to fix it. Waste of time and money.

Terrible service, terrible work. It was the 4th time i had a technician come out, told me to wait 5hours to check if it works after he leaves, and he said “if this doesnt work then i guess have a good summer”. Talked to Nicole , the “manager”. Her excuse was, “oh yeah, hes from new york so he can come off as rude”.
Worste AC company in bakersfield, terrible employees, terrible service, terrible equipment. Dont understand how they are in business still. 0 stars if i couls rate them that.

2 big thumbs up for Austin Heating and Air! It's a headache dealing with home warranty companies, but once I was scheduled with Austin Heating and Air things progressed smoothly. Extremely impressed with Rob the owner in diagnosing the problem, and Mike the installer was very methodical and professional in his work. Thanks to the staff at Austin Heating and Air!

In 2008 Austin Heating and Air installed a Goodman air conditioner unit on the roof of my two story home. Recently I had a technician from another local firm (been in business over 100 years!) and found out the unit had been installed with a multitude of problems: it was not level, the metal used for the frame attached to my roof was subgrade and had not been painted, there was a two fisted sized gap where the downdraft ductwork entered my roof so I have been air conditioning the neighborhood all this time! It just keeps going. Long story short, I had to complete replace the unit even though it was only 7 years old. I do not recommend Austin Heating and Air to anyone.

I had a great experience through them. American hom shield recommended them and all the work was completed in a timely manner.
