I did an internet search for an HVAC technician and almost immediately I got a call from Vance. We set up an appointment and Adam was the technician who showed up. He got to work and figured out what my problem was and told me what my options were. When we decided on a course of action. He ordered the parts and came back a few days later and repaired my system that day. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. My AC is working better than ever and I wouldn't hesitate to have him work on it again should the need arise. I'm keeping Vance on my Cellphone's contact list.

Requested a quote, had 2 visits with a total of 4 people including people from the management team. I followed up multiple times about the quote with zero replies or even acknowledgement that they are working on it. But they still feel the need to send me junk mail, emails, and text messages. I had a much better experience with the other HVAC companies in town.

I had Vance come out to inspect my furnace to determine why it wouldn’t turn over. They diagnosed that it was a faulty gas valve. They also noticed that the bearings were starting to go bad on the motor. The technician offered a couple of quotes to repair the gas valve and motor. One for a flat cost and the other discounted with a service plan.

After reviewing the quotes of $1,300 for a valve replacement and $1,000 for a motor I did some research and found that even with installation costs added to the part costs, it was in my opinion an over priced repair. In addition, I had a gift card for $41 off that they applied to the repair quotes and not the service call. I assumed that the gift card could be used for the service call. I felt afterwards that I had been part of a bait and switch.

Do why did I give Vance 4 stars? I called to share my frustration with the repair quotes and that they didn’t honor the gift card. The acting manager offered to refund the $41, but felt she couldn’t explain the quotes and asked if I would like a call from the manager to explain. I receive a call later and the manager was very pleasant and explained why their pricing was high which was because they buy warranted parts to match their warranted service and invest in having the best trained technicians. They essentially charge a premium price for a premium service. He also explained that on the back of the gift card it states that it’s not for service calls.

I appreciated him taking time away from an out of state technician training to respond to my concerns. I also appreciate that he took time to explain why they charge a higher price, which I respect as well.

I will look at a cheaper option for a temp fix, since we will be looking to replace our system later, but I would recommend Vance to anyone because of their customer service.

Adam was courteous, accurate, and timely. Very knowledgeable and professional. Took extra time to assess and evaluate our new HVAC mini-split system and restore it to working order.

What experience? No one at Vance told us we had to pay an annual maintenance fee. I called about the AC maintenance visit and the receptionist said "oh, you aren't on our list. You never paid for the annual maintenance fee". How are we to know we need to pay if Vance employees don't let us know via phone call or mail? I have paid and just now receive a phone call to schedule a AC tune-up.
