6/26 Update: Ken quickly sent in-house electrician, Jared, out to inspect our electrical ceiling box prior to drywall installation. No water damage! As an additional step, Jared expertly worked with our homeowner warranty electrician over the phone to verify that our home warranty would not be voided. Thank you Jared and Evergreen!

Original Review: Mrs. Shah posting my review on the amazing and quick service that HVAV technician, Rich, provided today after our newly installed A/C unit leaked through our bedroom ceiling! Our attic A/C unit had a plugging issue with the condensation line which resulted in our bedroom ceiling being flooded when our unit was unable to drain. Rich was able to pinpoint the issue, unplug the line, and restore our A/C in one morning. He expertly explained the issue and arranged for Ken to schedule a drywaller and electrician. I am very impressed with their ethical customer service and will post an additional update post completion! I highly recommend doing business with this honest company. They act quickly and respond to their customers - even post install!

They were courteous and professional. I appreciated them following the Pandemic guidelines wearing masks. My heating system went down right before the Winter storm and the Company provided heaters while I was waiting for my new heating system. I've been a costumer since 2002, this is my 2nd heating system I purchased from this company.

From first contact through installation, I was very impressed with Evergreen State Heat & AC.

We have electric baseboard heaters in our 1902 home, but never used them due to excessive cost. Instead, we have been heating our home with a wood stove the past 10 years (yes, with a few complaints: amount of time, labor and mess). Maybe it was the 10-year mark, or something in the water... but I had enough.

I had done some research on ductless heat pumps before attending the Home Show in Everett. I talked with 4 different companies and ended up with 2 different bids. When Leslie came out to the house, she was very professional, calm and matter-of-fact in sharing pertinent information. I never once sensed urgency or a push to sell. I was pleased with the bid and ended up getting a bit of a break too.

Installation was performed as scheduled and done in less than a day. Cliff, Zack, Andrew - and electrician Bill rounded out the installation team and did a fantastic job. All of these guys were extremely polite, took off their shoes upon every entrance into the house, and answered a laundry-list of questions. Clean-up and system tutorial was fantastic too.

We went with a Mitsubishi ductless system, with 3 separate heads. Two small 6k BTU units upstairs, plus main 15k BTU unit for the entire downstairs. Our home is only 1,500 square feet so this set-up is more than sufficient for both heat AND A/C. (Working from home... yes, I'm stoked about 'bonus' of having A/C in the summer too). I'm guessing I may have to fire off our wood-stove in the event of extreme cold, or on/ off throughout December and January, but nothing like before... burning 7+ months of the year.

I posted a couple pictures of exterior installation on Google too. The photos will demonstrate what a ductless set-up might look like. The main lines run outside your home in what would be similarly described as rain down-spouts. They are white color out of the box, so I immediately painted them when they were done with install to somewhat blend into the house and not stand out so much. Look for old yellow house with red shutters for install photos. There are 3 inside head-units connected to the exterior heat pump shown at bottom center of pictures.

All in all, I'm very pleased and would recommend Evergreen State to anyone considering a ductless system.

Cliff, Zach, and Andrew did an amazing job. I had a A/C installed in our home and they where very professional and considerate of my home and my family. I respect that and it's something hard to find in a company these days. They put down drop cloths and always kept me in the loop on what was going on.
When they were finished, the furnace and A/C worked perfectly. They even fixed some things that where wrong from the builder and the air coming out of the vents is better than ever.
Thank you so much for your hard work.

We bought a 60 year old rambler/ranch style home and the whole 1900sf home was heated by electric baseboard heaters in every room and a gas fireplace. The fireplace is great, but the baseboard heaters had to go immediately. Besides an efficient heating system, we also knew we wanted AC. So we solicited quotes from four companies. They were all small to midsize LOCAL companies, not big box installers, etc. Of all the quotes we got, Evergreen Heat & AC came in second lowest. I chose not to go with the lowest bid, because of all four bidders, the estimator/saleswoman Leslie instilled the most confidence. Some of the other companies sent out estimators that obviously knew what they were talking about, but Leslie seemed to explain the technical details the most effectively, really giving the impression that Evergreen is a capable and reliable company. She patiently answered a bunch of questions we had and gave very concise answers and never gave any hint of pushiness to get us to sign a contract. I told all of the four estimators I talked to that I was getting multiple quotes, and Leslie was the only one who didn’t seem to bristle at the concept or give vague warnings about some of the horror stories they hear about their competitors. She just stuck to the fact that her company would do a great job for a fair price. We weren’t sure whether we wanted a ductless or traditional ducted heatpump, and Leslie explained the pros and cons of each, and took the time to explain that for my particular home, a ducted system would be a very straightforward install, and probably be more to our liking than the ductless. Also, when I told her that one other company had a lower quote, she did reduce her quote a bit. It didn’t beat the low bid, but I felt it was fair and wanted to hire Evergreen.
So we hired them, and the work started only a couple of days later. The lead installer Rich is a great guy to deal with, and is obviously a real whiz at installing these systems. He made specific installation considerations that I don’t think other installers would have even thought of. The other two installers, Zach and Andrew were also very helpful. They did a great job, and the system was complete in about three days. At the end of the install, Zach did an awesome job of showing me all the technical features of the system, including the fancy thermostat that works like a smartphone. There were two hiccups, and Evergreen responded fairly to both. First one of the installers slipped in the attic and did some damage to the ceiling below. Rich patched it in, and I told him I would do the finish drywall repair (sanding and reapplying orange peel finish) because I was already doing a bunch of other drywall work. But they accounted for it by knocking $500 off my bill and doing a couple hours’ worth of electrical work on my hot water heater. The other minor issue was a couple of small scratches on the finish of the outdoor unit housing. It looked like it came that way from the factory. They ordered custom matched paint from the Trane factory and came back and fixed those scratches. I can’t even see where the scratches are anymore.
Also, Evergreen is very savvy with the PUD Rebate process and took care of all the legwork for me on that. They also set up all the county and state permitting. All in all, Evergreen was a very responsive company to work with, and they installed an awesome system in my house. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough if you are looking for a very nice furnace/heat pump install. I will definitely use them for any HVAC maintenance or repairs in the future.

Evergreen State HVAC installed a new Trane furnace and air conditioning unit at our home. Leslie did an outstanding job tailoring the system to our exact needs. Rich and his installers arrived on time, installed the equipment neatly, with professional skill, and left our home cleaner than when they arrived. We are very pleased. Evergreen State installs good equipment. Their people are first-rate. Five Stars and two thumbs up for Evergreen State HVAC.

Had a new Trane heat pump and furnace installed just 3 days after Christmas. Jared, Jacob, Rich and Able were very thorough with install of system and very helpful with the info we needed to know how to use it. We would definitely recommend Evergreen!

I'll skip the details and cut to the chase: Evergreen State Heat & A/C is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about Evergreen. I trust them like family.

Leslie came to my house and spent over an hour talking--and listening--to me about my HVAC needs. She looked at every room and every grill and walked around outside to assess the site so that she could make an accurate proposal--which, I should add, was a fair and competitive price for the job.

Rich (installer) came a week ahead of the install to measure and make plans. Jared (electrician) came a day before install to check things over to ensure that he had everything he'd need when they started.

On the day of the install, everyone arrived early (as they'd said they would) and got right to work. They treated my house with care and cleaned up after the job and left everything neat and clean.

Jared was great and did a fantastic job with the electrical. My house is a bit unusual but Jared figured things out and made them work. Really, I'm amazed that he was able to do it all so quickly.

Rich and Abel did the install and they were terrific. Friendly, professional, knowledgable, thorough. I can't think of a way they could have done anything better. They were really great.

If you're still on the fence or looking for an HVAC company, you can stop looking because you've found the right one. Evergreen State Heat & A/C is the one you want.

The experts at Evergreen State Heating quickly and deftly installed my new HVAC system in one day. They included a new tankless water heater, and asked for my input along the way. When all was finished I was instructed in the use of the controls and helped to set up an online app. From the moment they arrived to the end of the day the five experts ensured I would have a well functioning system at days end.

We recently had a heat pump installed at our home by Evergreen State on 5/5/2016. Installers did a fantastic job. There was a part that failed in the unit fairly quickly (these things happen from time to time), but Evergreen State stepped up to the plate and provided hassle-free support as we worked through the issue. Based on this level of service, I will definitely be using them again for in the future for our HVAC needs.
